CASEing the Catty - #CTC426 Case the Hobbies & Recreation Section Gone Fishing Bundle

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing the Hobbies and Recreation Section of the Annual Catalogue which is pages 78 through to 93.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I have only just purchased the Gone Fishing Bundle and I really love this set as I don't make a lot of masculine cards and this was a hit with my card class attendees.

I have cased the tackle box which is featured on page 78 which has the Let's Go Fishing Suite Collection which also includes a pack of Designer Series Paper and Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder.

I used one of the new colours Pecan Pie for the tackle Box.  I made sure I placed the large rectangle die over the left hand side centre fold of the card so it made a corner on each four corners.

I then cut out the sections of the tackle box in Pecan Pie and raised it up using very thin strips of the ? dimensionals, once positioned I stamped the textured background and sentiment agin in Pecan Pie.

It was then time to stamp all the sinkers, floats and flys and then used Basic Grey cardstock for the weights and hooks with the dies.

Stamp Set:  Gone Fishing
Cardstock:  Pecan Pie, Basic Grey, Basic White
Ink: Pecan Pie, Smoky Slate, Wild Wheat, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Boho Blue
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Gone Fishing Dies

Thanks for stopping by this week, it's now time to see what Julia Quinn has created with the same tackle box.

CASEing the Catty #CTC423 Case the Colours from Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Colours from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper - Azure Afternoon, Boho Blue, Bubble Bath, Cajun Craze, Copper Clay, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Lemon Lolly, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path, Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Judy May.

I have chosen the card from page 110 of the Annual Catalogue from the Fresh as a Daisy Suite.

I have changed the card to a landscape and used the Artistically Ink for the Happy Birthday sentiment and the matching Artistic Dies for the leaves that surround the focal point.

I have used the Pebbled Path In Color Jute Trim, which is quite thick so unravelled the trim and used just a 1 of the 3 strands.

Stamp Set:  Artistically Ink
Cardstock:  Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lolly, Basic White,
Ink:  Copper Clay

CASEing the Catty #CTC422 Case a Bundle Designer Series Paper

Good evening on a Sunday night, yes I am starting off the blog hop again!  This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Bundle Section of the Annual Catalogue which you can find on pages 154 to 160.

Welcome to the hop you may be starting here or you may have come from Judy May.

I have chosen a card on page 160 of the Annual Catalogue.  I created this card last Sunday in preparation for a new born which I did not now the sex at the time but I was hoping it was a girl so I chose a more of a neutral colour of Lemon Lime Twist.

I have torn pieces of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper and layered this onto my cardstock base some with Multipurpose glue and some with dimensional to given some added depth and texture.

Just a tip when you are tearing the Designer Series Paper you can either have a white edge or not depending upon which way you start tearing (either right to left or left to right), I have used both on the first strip.

I then fussy cut the cut crocodile from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper and added my sentiment and some In Color Opal Rounds.

Stamp Set:  Little Dreamers
Cardstock:  Lemon Lime Twist, Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper, Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Orchid Oasis
Accessories:  In Color Opal Rounds (retired)

CASEing the Catty #CTC421 Case the All Occasion Section Pansy Patch & Pansy Dies

This week at CASEing the Catty we are being inspired by the All Occasion Section of the Annual Catalogue, pages 14 to 61, so you have lots of ideas to CASE.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephens.

I love the card on page 27 that I am CASEing this week.  It's one that has so many die cut elements but it really caught my eye straight away when going through the pages.

I have pretty much cased it as it is featured in the Annual Catalogue, I have used the Exposed Brick 3D Textured Embossing Folder as my background with Daffodil Delight applied with the Blending Brush instead of the mask.

I may have used the Lemon Lime Twist as the lighter green on the leaves otherwise the colours are the same.

I love the 3 purple tones - Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.  I did also use my sponge dauber in Highland Heather on the centre of the pansy over the top of the Fresh Freesia which gives it further depth of colour.

We made this at last Saturday's card class and when you had to die cut for 8 attendees that ladies on the Cut 'n Emboss machines did get a workout.

Stamp Set:  Pansy Patch
Cardstock:  Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lime Twist, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Basic White, Thick Basic White
Ink:  Pecan Pie, Highland Heather
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Pansy Dies, Exposed Brick 3D Textured Embossing Folder, Gold Simply Elegant Trim, Copper Brushed Metallic Dots, Fresh Freesia Ribbon (retired)

Thanks for stopping by now it's time to see what my bestie, Rachel Palmieri has made this week.

CASEing the Catty #CTC419 Case a Love Project Layering Leaves & Bough Punch

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing a love project.  One of my first stamp sets on my wish list from the Annual Catalogue was Layering Leaves which was designed by one of the million dollar sales achievers which matches the Bough Punch which carried over from the last catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder.

I have chosen to case the box on page 67.  I do not have the Timeless Arrangements Bundle but I was inspired by the centre sentiment and the flowers and foliage that surround it.

I have used the new Bubble Bath cardstock which I stamped some splashes of colour in Moody Mauve and then layered onto my base of Moody Mauve cardstock with a strip of cardstock in the centre which I used the Deckled Rectangles dies to create a torn edge look instead of the ribbon.

The leaves and flower are stamped using a variety of colours on Basic White cardstock and a few on Old Olive cardstock to give another layer of depth and with the punch it was so easy to cut them all out quickly.

I stamped the sentiment on Basic White and then layering onto Moody Mauve using the retired Beautiful Shades dies.  I put this sentiment in the centre on dimensionals and then poked all the leaves and flowers under the sentiment and then added some Wild Wheat from the Christmas Pinecone Dies.  Finally I added 3 of the Moody Mauve In Colour Dots on the edges of the foliage.

Stamp Set:  Layering Leaves
Cardstock:  Bubble Bath, Moody Mauve, Old Olive, Basic White
Ink:  Bubble Bath, Moody Mauve, Old Olive, Black Momento
Accessories:  Bough Punch, Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Deckled Rectangles, Beautiful Shades Dies (retired), In Colour Dots
