CASEing the Catty - #CTC463 Case Bundles from Mini Catalogue Thoughtful Expression Bundle

Happy Easter.  I hope you are having a lovely 4 day Easter break, for me I was able to catch up with family and friends and also spend some time tiding up my craft room ready to put in all the new in colors and goodies from the new Annual Catalogue which I received as part of pre purchase premier order as a demonstrator that attended OnStage in Melbourne.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I have chosen to use the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle on page 73 of the Mini Catalogue as we are CASEing the Bundle section this week of the Mini Catalogue.  This Bundle will be carrying over into the Annual Catalogue however it will not be at the Bundle price (10% saving) so I would suggest you purchase it by the end of April.

I started with a Thick Very Vanilla cardstock base (I am a little disappointed that this is retired too and it has already sold out) and layered this with with a piece of Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper in shades of browns.

The three images are stamped in Black Memento and I used the retiring in colors - Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party with my blending brushes to colour them in and then die cut the leaves in Parakeet Party and the little flowers in Basic White which I again used my blending brush in Orchid Oasis.

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso and I have again used the dies from the Thoughtful Expressions set, finally added some In Color Gems from my retired stash.

Stamp Set:  Thoughtful Expressions
Cardstock:  Thick Very Vanilla, Basic White, Crumb Cake, Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento, Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party
Accessories:  Cut and Emboss Machine, Thoughtful Expressions Dies, In Color Gems (retired)

CASEing the Catty - #CTC462 Case a Sketch from the Mini Catalogue

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing a Sketch from the Mini Catalogue.

I created this card whilst I was having a 9 day break in Melbourne and the regions with fellow crew member, Rachel Palmieri.

After attending Stampin' Up!'s Onstage event at the Convention Centre, I went home with some new in color cardstock which I just had to use in my card.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder.
Whilst staying at Rachel's home I was able to use the Cutest Cows as I have not purchased this bundle yet.  I have used the two new green in colors - Shy Shamrock and Summer Splash to create grass by tearing the cardstock and then added a little colour with a blending brush in Shaded Spruce to the torn edges to give further texture.

I stamped the happy sunflowers in Black Memento ink and coloured them using a selection of blends and then with Balmy Blue ink and a blending brush added the sky around the flowers.

All three cows were then coloured in and they were all so cute I wanted to use them all so I ended up not being able to have a larger border as featured in the sketch which I had planned.  Finally I added them with dimensionals and added the matching sentiment.

Stamp Set:  Cutest Cows
Cardstock:  Shy Shamrock, Summer Splash, Basic White
Ink:  Black Memento, Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive
Accessories:  Cutest Cows Punch

CASEing the Catty - #460 Case a Project and Step it Up Enduring Beauty Bundle

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing a project from either the Annual or Mini Catalogues and Stepping it up.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

I have chosen to case the Stepped Upped cards on page 39 of the Mini Catalogue using the Enduring Beauty Bundle which include a mix of masks, stamp set and dies which is a first for Stampin' Up!

This bundle has been in at my home for a couple of months but this is the first time I have had some time to pull it out and give it some love and ink.

I am featuring some of the upcoming retiring in colors - Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Parakeet Party for the featured floral centrepiece.

I have stamped Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock and then I used my blending brushes in Orchid Oasis and Parakeet Party to easily coloured in the image.

The masks have a number in the top left hand corner so this makes it so easy to layer the colours to create a wonderful image and I have only used 2 ink pads but with the layers it gives the different shades of colour.  The centrepiece was then die cut out.

With the layered Basic White cardstock, I very lightly added the stamens in Orchid Oasis to create a background, then added this to the Starry Sky cardstock, add the centrepiece with dimensionals and add a few tiny little buds in Black Memento and use the two step stamp and stamp off the ink to give a lighter colour.

Finally, I added some die cut buds and leaves in Parakeet Party, a sentiment from Thoughtful Expressions in Starry Sky, a double baker's twine bow and some Faceted Gems.

Stamp Set:  Enduring Beauty, Thoughtful Expressions
Cardstock:  Basic White, Starry Sky, Parakeet Party
Ink:  Black Memento, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky, Parakeet Party
Accessories:  Cut and Emboss Machine, Enduring Beauty Dies, Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks, Starry Sky Baker's Twine, Faceted Gems
