Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop featuring the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue and wow the ladies have been busy to prepare these wonderful designs you may have come from Alisha Watson and what lovely work she has to share with you today.

Today I would like to feature Hostess stamp set, Pedal Presents (so remember to schedule in a workshop before the 31 July and you could earn this stamp set for only $16 Hostess Dollars (valued at $26.95).

I host monthly classes at my home and my ladies have requested that we have one male card each time as we all struggle for inspiration for the men in our lives, so I just had to have this stamp set to showcase to them a couple of weeks ago, and we made the second card which is a case straight out of the catalogue as I only received my order the afternoon before my class so it had to be very quick.

Stamp Set: Pedal Presents ($20 Hostess wooden, $16 Hostess clear)
Card: Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Designer Series Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red Markers
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Peach Parfait 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon, Stapler

Stamp Set: Pedal Presents
Card: Marina Mist, Whisper White, Designer Series Paper
Ink: Basic Black, Marina Mist, Riding Hood Red Marker
Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch, 3/8" Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin Ribbon

Thanks for visiting and sharing my creations and now you are off to Sue Madex blog.

So Shelli...Green & Growing Creative Challenge

Today, is ANZAC Day here in Australia, where we remember those that lost their lives for our freedom of a nation. Lest we Forget!

This afternoon whilst cheering on Collingwood on the television (I have been supporting them for the last few weeks in preparation to when I take my nephew to the Grand Final rematch in a month's time at the MCG in Melbourne) I decided to make a card for Shelli Gardner's monthly challenge. This months theme is Green and Growing to celebrate this time of the year.

I have chosen some lovely designer series paper to create a very clean and simple card which makes the butterfly stand out. I used a butterfly because to me it symbolises new life and I thinks fits well with the Growing theme.

Cardstock: Old Olive, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz Designer Series Paper
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Beautiful Butterflies Digz Die, Pearl Basic Jewels, Sponge Dauber

Close up of the butterfly, oh so pretty! Pity my photo does not show the card being so green as the DSP looks greyish. Looks so much better in real life!

Apothecary Art and the New Framelits

Don't you just love the new products in the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue and Stampin' Up! have released some very new items including Labels Collection Framelits which match so well with the Apothecary Art stamp set.

Firstly I will show the card which is a case from the catalogue and features some colouring with the Markers.

Stamp Set: Apothecary Art, Woodgrain
Card: Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Certainly Celery, Bink Pirouette, Melon Mambo Markers
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Top Note Bigz Die, Label Collection Framelits, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Corner Rounder Punch

Close up of the Colouring, if you find it difficult to colour direct onto the stamp, you may like to stamp the image in Soft Suede which some of my guests at my last class did.

The stamps fit so well with all the different sizes of the framelits.

Happy Easter ... Easter Egg Flowers

Happy Easter to you all, today I am sharing some Easter Egg Flowers which were inspired by the very talented Tanya Bell. She has a you tube video you may like to check out. I did make a few changes as my Easter Eggs were larger than the ones she used.

The finished Easter Eggs with a piece of ribbon tied around the tops.

I used a piece of 8" x 8" square cellophane, 3 pink hearts with the bottoms cut off,
a green large 2 3/8" scallop circle with the centre cut out with the 3/4" circle punch.

Cut a slit up the green scallop circle and join together with sticky strip
overlapping three scallops.

Again using sticky strip stick the three pink heart to the inside of the green scallop circle.

Cover a Easter Egg with the square of cellophane and
with a florist tape attached the stick to form the stem of the flower.
