CASEing the Catty - #CTC427 Case a Die Cut Project Sending Dies

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing a Die Cut Project.  You have lots of choice this week again and we would love for you to create along with the Crew.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Michelle Strazds.

I have cased the lovely card using the Sending Dies and matching Sending Smiles stamp Set featured on page 26 of the Annual Catalogue.

I would never have had thought that this set would be used as wisteria as I was only thinking it was a lavender flower.

I have used the Orchid Oasis ink stamped off to make it softer for the Wisteria flowers, which is more of a blue than the purple of Highland Heather which the original card is featured, some of the flowers and leaves are stamped straight onto the Basic White cardstock and some are die cut and raised on dimensionals.

The background is second and third stamped off sentiments in Crumb Cake and then I used one of the sentiment dies and stamped in Orchid Oasis then raised it up again on dimensionals.

Finally I die cut the "Sending" in Crumb Cake and Basic White.

Stamp Set:  Sending Smiles
Cardstock: Orchid Oasis, Crumb Cake, Basic White
Ink:  Orchid Oasis, Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Sending Dies

Thanks for stopping by this week, now it's time to see what Tina Gillespie has cased this week.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC426 Case the Hobbies & Recreation Section Gone Fishing Bundle

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing the Hobbies and Recreation Section of the Annual Catalogue which is pages 78 through to 93.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I have only just purchased the Gone Fishing Bundle and I really love this set as I don't make a lot of masculine cards and this was a hit with my card class attendees.

I have cased the tackle box which is featured on page 78 which has the Let's Go Fishing Suite Collection which also includes a pack of Designer Series Paper and Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder.

I used one of the new colours Pecan Pie for the tackle Box.  I made sure I placed the large rectangle die over the left hand side centre fold of the card so it made a corner on each four corners.

I then cut out the sections of the tackle box in Pecan Pie and raised it up using very thin strips of the ? dimensionals, once positioned I stamped the textured background and sentiment agin in Pecan Pie.

It was then time to stamp all the sinkers, floats and flys and then used Basic Grey cardstock for the weights and hooks with the dies.

Stamp Set:  Gone Fishing
Cardstock:  Pecan Pie, Basic Grey, Basic White
Ink: Pecan Pie, Smoky Slate, Wild Wheat, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Boho Blue
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Gone Fishing Dies

Close up of all the tackle.

Thanks for stopping by this week, it's now time to see what Julia Quinn has created with the same tackle box.
