CASEing the Catty - #CTC438 All About Autumn Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks

This week as CASEing the Catty we are featuring the All About Autumn section in the Mini Catalogue, pages 42 to 47.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder.

I have chosen to case the beautiful and bright and cheerful sunflowers using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks.  The blending brushes make it oh so easy to blend the colours from Daffodil Delight to the dark centres with Pecan Pie, I then used Old Olive to add the surrounding leaves.

Finally finishing it off with the sentiment in Old Olive ink on Soft Sea Foam cardstock from the World Card Making Day exclusive Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and matching Heartfelt Hexagon punch (which is a prerelease for the January Mini Catalogue) with a little Lemon Lime Twist ribbon loops and a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Stamp Set:  Heartfelt Hexagon
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, Basic White
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Old Olive
Accessories:   Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, Blending Brushes, Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels

CASEing the Catty - #CTC437 Case O Holy Night Suite, Night Divine Bundle

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing my favourite, the O Holy Night Suite featured on pages 14 to 17 of the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I have chosen to case the Nativity scene featured on page 16.  I did not purchase the matching Designer Series Paper, so I thought I would use the base Crumb Cake cardstock.

To make a landscape background of mountains I used the blending brush with Pecan Pie ink and torn piece of scrap paper and layered the colours with different shades of colour and moving the paper three times.

The centre scene was first die cut in Balmy Blue and then I die cut just Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in Misty Moonlight and finally the sheep in Basic White.   I then cut them out and glue them together to make a scene under the manger.  Finally adding a Distressed Gold Star with a Very Vanilla centre star and then a large banner for the sentiment.

Stamp Set:  Night Divine
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Basic White, Distressed Gold, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Misty Moonlight, Pecan Pie
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Night Divine Dies, Start at Night Dies

CASEing the Catty - #CTC436 Case A Walk in the Forest DSP Christmas Classics

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing A Walk in the Forest DSP on page 4 and 5 of the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I have chosen to case the card in the middle of the two page spread.

I have used the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper and the paper I am highlighting uses shades of Cherry Cobbler and Real Red.

I have made my card as a landscape as the greeting is long and would not fit in a portrait format.  It's a very quick and easy card with just a piece of DSP mounted on a Cherry Cobbler card base.  I stamped the sentiment twice on a strip of Crumb Cake and then added a piece of holly in the corner which I stamped in Black Momento and then coloured it in using Shaded Spruce Blends.

To step up the card, I made a Clear Envelope Shaker card.  I used the same card base and put the piece of Designer Series Paper inside a clear envelope and then added some sequins and closed up the envelope with sticky tape and glued it down on the card base.  I then finished it off with a sentiment and the holly.

Stamp Set:  Christmas Classics
Cardstock:  Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Basic White
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Black Mememto, Shaded Spruce
Accessories:   Clear Envelopes, Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Christmas Classics Dies, Sequins (retired)

The two versions of the card.
