CASEing the Catty - #CTC356 Colours of the Heart & Home DSP, Catching the Butterflies

Wow another week has gone by and it's been a creative week with preparing for my card class yesterday which was my first for the year.  I decided to do a card that I could also feature in this week's CASEing the Catty Challenge by using the Colours of the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper - Pale Papaya, Garden Green, Misty Moonlight, Fresh Freesia, Cinnamon Cider and Basic Gray.

Welcome if you are starting here or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

I have chosen the card on page 58 to CASE using very similar colours and design with my card base being Pale Papaya and I used the cute little girl from the Sale-A-Bration Catching Butterflies stamp set.

When recreating the card, it was only then that I notice that the Heart & Home Doily had more textured that the cut out featured and I swapped out the Hive 3D Embossing Folder for one that I had in my collection from the Annual Catalogue, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

Stamp Set:  Catching Butterflies, Blessings of Home
Cardstock:  Pale Papaya, Basic White, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento, Misty Moonlight (Pale Papaya, Cinnamon Cider, Fresh Freesia, SU700, SU800 Stampin' Blends)
Accessories:  Cut n Embossing Machine, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Heart & Home Doilies, Denim 3/8" Ribbon, Night of Navy Fan Baker's Twine

Now it's time to hop over to Michelle Strazds to see what she has to share this week.

Heart of Christmas - Week 22 Great Tidings Bundle

It's the last week of Heart of Christmas and I hope the team have inspired you in creating Christmas cards this festive season.

I hosted my last card class for the year last Saturday and we made this card, it's part of the story of Jesus birth with the 3 Wise Men.  I have chosen natural tones and after stamping the 3 Wise Men in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla I got my water painter and blended the colour to create a coloured in effect.

Stamp Set:  Great Tidings
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Cinnamon Cider, Gold Foil Sheet
Ink:  Early Espresso
Accessories:  Cut n Emboss Machine, Wise Men Tiding Dies, Water Painters

Christmas cards in readiness of sending later in the week.

Thanks for hopping by now it's time to see what Kate Morgan has created this week.

If at any time you find a broken link please head to the blog of this week’s host of The Heart Of Christmas Blog Hop, Tina Gillespie and she will have the list of all those participating.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC284 - Hippo Happiness Bundle

This week at CASEing the Catty we are casing a project from the Bundle section (pages 173 to 179), there are many to choose from too.

If you are starting the hop here welcome, or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I have used the cute Hippo Happiness Bundle which had not seen ink before Saturday, but I just love the cute images, I chose the Hippo, but the donkey, sheep or butterfly would have worked just as well as the feature to the gate fold card.

I was hoping that I would have time to turn the inside into a shutter card, but I think that will have to wait until later in the week to make my first one of those fancy fold cards.  Come back on Thursday on I hopefully will have a video to share with instructions and measurements.

Stamp Set:  Hippo Happiness
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Peony Garden Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray
Accessories:  Hippo & Friends Dies

The gate fold card and featured belly band.

Close up of the oh so cute hippo.

Thanks for stopping by it's now time to hop on over to Rose Packer.
