This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Sale-A-Bration brochure and wow there are some amazing FREE products that can inspire you.
Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from the talented Rachel Palmieri.
I am in the process of preparing for my Christmas in July card class so I want to used the Tree Lot Dies which is featured on page 12 with the Trees for Sale matching stamp set which you can purchase in the July to December Mini Catalogue for $39.00.
The card to the left uses non traditional Christmas colours of Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Polished Pink, Blushing Bride with Starry Sky card base. These are colours I would never have picked for a Christmas card colour combination but it really does work.
First I used Whisper White Craft ink to stamp the circles on the Starry Sky card base.
Then I stamped the two largest trees from the set in the four colours using the two step stamping technique - stamping off the ink with the background stamp and then with full ink with the highlighted branches.
Die cut all the trees and the caravan in Very Vanilla with a piece of Basic White for the windows.
It's then just time to arrange the trees separating the colours and sizes to fit your card (mine are a little different to the catalogue) and mounting some on diminsionals for added effect, don't forget to die cut at couple of tree trunks for the front two trees. Finally stamp the sentiment in one of the coordinating colours I chose the Polished Pink and add some of the gorgeous Iridescent White Adhesive Backed Stars.
Stamp Set: Trees for Sale

Love those Iridescent White Stars
After making the above card, I could not resist making one with shades of green and there are a lot of them - Parakeet Party, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Shaded Spruce and Evening Evergreen!

Both cards look great. I can’t decide whether I prefer the all green trees card or the non-traditional one better.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are wonderful! The different colors on the one made me smile.
