This week at CASEing the Catty we are Caseing a Masking Project from either the Annual or January to June Mini Catalogue.
Welcome to the Blog Hop if you are starting here or you may have come from Monique Fielder.
I really like the new Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks from the Mini Catalogue and I could not go past using the flowers and leaves from this beautiful set.
I have Cased the card on page 65 of the Mini Catalogue I have used a piece of Misty Moonlight Heart & Home Designer Series paper for my background instead of the masking.
I cut a piece of Basic White using the Orante Layers Dies and then layered the beautiful flowers with the Blending Brushes in Calypso Coral, then Magenta Madness and finally added the leaves in Pear Pizzazz. To finish it I added the sentiment and a little gold bow.
I don't often put an insert in the card but with the Misty Moonlight cardstock I decide to add the largest die from the Ornate Layers Dies and a little matching DSP.

THe double layers of the masking look so pretty!! And I love your choice of background paper - it really makes the flowers pop beautifully!! Thankyou for the fabulous inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are super Kathryn, so bright and vibrant. Great choice to use the ornate frames inside and out. The background DSP sets it all off nicely
ReplyDeleteThe DSP looks great replicating the masked background. Those masked flowers look great. Great colour choice too.
ReplyDeleteHow great is that flower mask!! I love the blue background paper, it really makes the flowers stand out.
