I am on holidays until Thursday and I am holidaying at home due to the Melbourne lockdown, but I am enjoying catching up with friends each day and I even found some time to create on Saturday evening for today's Challenge. We are featuring the Birthday section of the Annual Catalogue from page 60 to 67 - #CTC322.
You may have started the hop here so welcome, or you may have come from Judy May.
I have chosen to case the card to the left features the You're a Peach Suite, I don't have the Designer Series Paper for the suite so I used my very favourite papers from the Annual Catalogue - Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I was influence by the technique featured on page 61 using the sponge dauber to give highlights to the stamped images. I inked up the peach stamp in Pale Papaya and used the sponge dauber in Calypso Coral to give definition to one side, and then used Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive on the leaves. I added some Gold Foil Sheet to the top and bottom on the piece of Basic White to match in with the Speciality Designer Series Paper.
I then used package up some lollies in the cute Mini Jam Jars and but out a circle of matching Expressions in Ink paper and added this to the lid and finished it off with a 1/4" strip of Gold Foil Sheet around the edge.

What a peachy card! Love the matching little jam jar of lollies you did. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYour stamped peaches look amazing - I really need to stop being lazy when stamping them and try out this technique! I didn't even notice that the DSP was not the coordinating Peach DSP, as the colours match perfectly. Gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteOH, doesn't this paper look perfectly peachy with this stamp set!! And the sponged edge is glorious! Love love love.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gift set, Kathryn. The extra sponging on the peaches looks fabulous and the DSP coordinates so well.
