CASEing the Catty - #CTC324 Retiring Mini Project, Snail Mail

 

Do you believe in miracles?  You may will do now as I am participating in the CASEing the Catty for 3 week's in row, surprise surprise!  This week we are featuring a Retiring Project from the Mini Catalogue, which finishes in a few days time - 30 June.

I am highlighting the Snail Mail Suite, I have only used the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper for the 2 cards I have created for this Challenge.  I think we all love DSP and sometime we just don't want to cut into the sheets.

I thought I would make the most of the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper before it has retired and I am hopeful to get the 2 card into the post to a my Stampin' Up! Pen Pals.

I have chosen to CASE the 2 cards to the left.  The one to the far left utilises triangles of DSP as the background and then I fussy cutting the snails and sentiment.

The second card features strips of DSP of varying widths and then woven together to make the background and then a large square of Real Red with small Hearts DSP on top to make the snail and mushrooms pop.

Cardstock:  Basic White Thick, Snail Mail Designer Paper.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC323 Card Featuring Food, Tidings & Trimmings Bundle

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring food, I chose to case the on page 33 of the Annual Catalogue, it just spoke to me about a row of Christmas stockings.

It's not quite July and I am making my first Christmas Card for the year, as I am getting into Christmas in July early.  

The card I am Caseing is featured to the left, I am using the Tidings of Christmas Suite, which I have included the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set and matching Christmas Trimmings Dies and the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper.  

I randomly stamped in Soft Succulent onto the Evening Evergreen cardstock and then, I cut a sheet of the 6" x 6" DSP in half and that was my background and then stamped three Christmas Stockings and Bows in the coordinating colours of Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Succulent and then added a sentiment and some Black Rhinestone Jewels in the centre of the cute bows.

Cardstock:  Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Tiding of Christmas Designer Series Paper

Ink:  Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Succulent

CASEing the Catty - #CTC322 Birthday Section, You're a Peach Suite

I am on holidays until Thursday and I am holidaying at home due to the Melbourne lockdown, but I am enjoying catching up with friends each day and I even found some time to create on Saturday evening for today's Challenge.  We are featuring the Birthday section of the Annual Catalogue from page 60 to 67 -  #CTC322.

I have chosen to case the card to the left features the You're a Peach Suite, I don't have the Designer Series Paper for the suite so I used my very favourite papers from the Annual Catalogue - Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I was influence by the technique featured on page 61 using the sponge dauber to give highlights to the stamped images.  I inked up the peach stamp in Pale Papaya and used the sponge dauber in Calypso Coral to give definition to one side, and then used Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive on the leaves.  I added some Gold Foil Sheet to the top and bottom on the piece of Basic White to match in with the Speciality Designer Series Paper.

I then used package up some lollies in the cute Mini Jam Jars and but out a circle of matching Expressions in Ink  paper and added this to the lid and finished it off with a 1/4" strip of Gold Foil Sheet around the edge.

Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper, Gold Foil Sheet

Ink:  Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz , Old Olive

Accessories:  Cut n Emboss Machine, Circle Dies, Mini Jam Jars, Pale Papaya Flower Flourishes
