Masculine Theme Blog Hop

What a wet and rainy morning but what a way to warm you up, grab a coffee and enjoy some wonderful creations with a group of my friends who happen also to be Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I am so looking forward to catching up with many of the Victorian ladies next weekend on Saturday at the SU event. This month we are featuring a masculine theme, you may start from here or you may have come from Christine Blain and what a great idea she had for you.

I would like to share with you a card that was a case from Julie Davison with a few small changes, it was quick to make and is very much in my clear and simple design.

Stamp Set: Seaworthy, Prefect Punches
Card: Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Modern Label Punch

I hope you enjoy this hop as it's great to get lots of ideas for the men in our lives as sometimes I do struggle with masculine designs. You are now off to visit Nikki Sadler.

Jack Frost is here... as is Christmas in July

Well what about the freezing weather we had here in Woodside, South Australia this morning...Jack Frost had been busy overnight and it was like a white Christmas had arrived, we'll on Saturday afternoon I will be hosting a Christmas in July Stamping Class and it will be nice and warm inside as we are due to have another overnight chill. If you are free you are most welcome to join us to make four Christmas cards with matching envelopes all for only $12.00 which includes tea/coffee and some Christmas fruit cake.

Here is a little sneak peak of what we will be creating and there is some dazzling diamonds in there to recreate that frost on the trees.

Reason to Smile ... Clean and Simple

With only a couple more days of the Reason to Smile promotion I would like to share with you another very quick and easy card. If you have noticed my favourite size card is 3 3/4" square (so you get 3 out of one sheet of A4 cardstock).

I coloured the daisy with the SU markers straight onto the rubber, love how simple it is and you get a fantastic effect - oh so quickly.

What a wet week we have had here in South Australia, and oh so cold! Great weather for spending time indoors and stamping! I used the Reason to Smile stamp set which is only available for another week in the June promotion to create this very simple but effective 6" x 6" scrapbook page.

Ink: Pacific Point
Accessories: Scallop Edge Border Punch, 1/4" Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon, Designer Buttons

need a reason to SMILE?

In this cold and wintery weather what better to do than spend some time creating with the brand new stamp set, Reason to Smile which is available for only the month of June. You can get it in two different ways:

1. FREE with a $125 purchase or
2. Buy it at the regular price $35.95 wooden, $28.95 clear
Below is a little gift which is a card with a matching note book, which we made at my monthly class at my home last Sunday, it was a huge hit with the guests.

Stamp Set: Reason to Smile, (the sentiment is from one of my retired stamp sets, but you could use any one you have, or you could leave it off if you don't know who is going to receive it)
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose, VersaMark
Accessories: Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, White Emboss Powder, Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Stapler

To make the closure at the bottom, just put a staple in the middle and cover it with some lovely grossgrain ribbon. I bought some cheap notebooks and white embossed on the plastic covers (don't heat too much as the plastic might melt, but none of my 14 ladies had any problems).
