CASE-ing the Catty - #CTC482 Case a Shaker Card

It's all about shaker cards this week at CASEing the Catty.  They are one of my favourite cards to make and I especially like to make the for Christmas.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I received my inspiration from the shaker card on page 71 of the Annual Catalogue.

It features the Loveliest Tree bundle, I don't have this set but I have the Frosted Forest bundle and I thought I would make one of my quick and easy shaker cards.

My inspiration came from just the centre of the card which was the shaker section and decide to make a Clear Envelope Shaker Card.

I have taken a piece of the Country Lace Designer Series Papers and used the tree masks and created 2 small and 1 large trees as my background using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.  I then created another tree to be added to the outside of the card.

For further information about making a Clear Envelope Shaker Card, I made a tutorial a few years ago and if you would like a copy please send me an email kathrynsstampinworld@gmail.com and I will send it out to you or join my newsletter mailing list and you will receive copies of my tutorials.

Stamp Set:  Greetings of the Season
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White,  Petal Pink, Country Lace Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Old Olive
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Frosted Forest Decorative Masks, Frosted Forest Dies, Clear Envelopes, Sequins (retired)

CASE-ing the Catty - #CTC481 Case A Sketch

We are CASEing a sketch this week at CASEing the Catty which was inspired by the card on page 25 of the Annual Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Michelle Strazds.

I have made my card in a landscape format instead of the portrait one featured.

I started with a piece of Old Olive cardstock as my base and added a layer of Old Olive which I had added Old Olive ink dragged over the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and then put it through the Cut 'n Emboss Machine to give it further depth of colour.

I place a strip of the Online Exclusives Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper down first than added the Very Vanilla sentiment and which was cut out using the Greetings of the Season Die added the strip of Garden Green with the blend of stamps from the Greeting of the Season to create & Happy New Year.

I cut some of the gorgeous leaves and bells again from the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper with the matching Golden Greenery Dies and added them to each side of the sentiments (like the squares in the sketch).  Finally adding a few Gold Sequins to finish the card.

Stamp Set:  Greeting of the Season
Cardstock:  Old Olive, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Greeting of the Season Dies, Golden Greenery Dies, Timber 3D Embossing Folder, Gold Sequins (retired)

CASEing the Catty - #CTC479 Case Mediterranean Blooms Suite

Today at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the Mediterranean Blooms Suite on page 34 of the Annual Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Rebecca Scurr.

I have chosen to case the card in the centre of the page which featured the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper.

I have swapped out the oranges to a bunch of lemons which I have fussy cut out, it only had 2 lemons so I cut out an additional one and added it to the bottom of the bunch.

I started with a base of Night of Navy cardstock and layered this with the shade of blue tile inspired Designer Series Paper cut out with the large die from the Suite.

I then put on a little strip of the smaller lemon sheet and added the lemons and a sentiment with a couple extra flowers and finally added a gem to each of the centres of the flowers.

Stamp Set:  Simply Said
Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Basic White, Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Misty Moonlight
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Citrus Bloom Die, In Color Shimmer Gems

CASEing the Catty - #CTC476 Case Sketch Sketched Butterflies Bundle

I am back from a 3 week overseas trip to Canada and Alaska, it was an amazing time.  I spent a day catching up with 2 Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Vancouver and then crafted with 31 other ladies on a 8 day Alaskan Cruise leaving from Seattle.

Welcome to the blog hop, or you may have come from Andrea Sargent.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are using a sketch which was inspired from a card on page 68 of the Annual Catalogue which I have shared below.

My card is a very quick and simple one as I wanted to participate this week but was busy doing many load of washing and managing to avoid jet lag.

I have chosen a piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper which I cut on an angle and fixed to a piece of Basic White cardstock and randomly stamped butterflies in Pretty Peacock.  I layered this onto a piece of Lost Lagoon and Thick Basic White Cardstock added a sentiment and a lovely bow and a few gems.

Stamp Set:  Sketched Butterflies
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, Lost Lagoon, Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Pretty Peacock
Accessories:  Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon, Gems
