Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, step fathers, and those that are watching up from their heavenly home, which mine will be doing today.
I did take some beautiful bright and cheerful daffodils to the cemetery today which the bulbs were from the family home at Oakbank, it always gives me joy when they are flowering and spring is here.
This week at CASEing the Catty were are featuring pages 8 to 15 of the Holiday Mini Catalogue and the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite.
Welcome to the blog hop if you are starting from here or you may have come from Judy May.
I was inspired my the non traditional colours of the Christmas card on page 13, utilising Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Misty Moonlight, I have also used a different bundle from the Annual Catalogue, Snowflake Wishes and coordinating So Many Snowflakes Dies.
With this set there was not a background textured die, so I used one of the snowflake dies to create the background with Basic White cardstock and then adhered it another piece of Basic White cardstock and then cut it in 1 1/4" strips which I think turned out lovely.
For the snowflakes, I stamped in Petal Pink, Pear Pizzaz and Misty Moonlight and had to fussy cut two out of the three as there is not a matching die and then layered them with Basic White snowflakes.
I used a rectangle die from the Ornate Layers to create the Gray Granite block and had to reduced the size by cutting it in half as it was a little wide but knowing the sentiment was on top it worked out a treat.
Finally I added the bow and some gems and I was really pleased with how it turned out, but it will not be a Christmas card that I will be mass producing as it was quite time consuming making it.
Stamp Set: Snowflake Wishes
Ink: Petal Pink, Pear Pizzaz, Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Gray Granite, Basic White
Accessories: Cut 'n Emboss Machine, So Many Snowflakes Dies, Ornate Layers Dies, Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker's Twine, Soft Succulent Jewels
