Merry Christmas & Clearance Rack Blitz Update

It's looking a lot like Christmas.  Well that's what my home is starting to look like, I have finished wrapping the last 3 Christmas presents yesterday and today it's time to spend most of the day in the kitchen preparing for tonight's Christmas Eve's Celebrations and Christmas Day festivities.  The social gatherings just keep on going - but I will be attending my church's Christmas Eve service tonight where the real meaning of Christmas is acted out with a nativity play by the children which is just so sweet every year.

It's been a fantastic year filled with lots of excitement for me with two overseas trips to Thailand then my trip of a lifetime of 6 weeks in Africa together with a change in employment and a lot more thrown in between.

Merry Christmas ... Ornament Keepsakes Bundle

Best Dad Ever ... Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the Father's, especially my dad, he is very special to me. I had a lovely day with my family and wow what a beautiful spring day we had. We enjoyed lunch at the Goolwa Hotel and then took the scenic trip home via Milang and then stopped for coffee and cake at Strathalbyn.

Now to my card that I made for my dad using the Best Dad Ever stamp set, I must admit this is a case from I think the United States Stampin' Up facebook page which I saved quite some time ago but I wanted to share with my class yesterday (some made a last minute Father's Day card and others changed it to a Birthday card).

I had my class this afternoon and wow did they like the new stamps sets, new ink pads and the new in colours that we got to use on some cards, which I will share with you in the next couple of days.

Retired Stamps and Accessories - Totally Tools

I had the day off today and did some more planning for my trip of a lifetime to Africa which is coming along so very soon, but tonight I would like to share a card I made with my class ladies earlier in the month with one of my favourite stamp sets that make great masculine cards, Totally Tools which is available for $45.95 but only until 31 August to until sold out.

The card was a case that I had saved on my computer but I don't remember who created it so I can not acknowledge the person that came up with this design. The Just Add Cake designer series paper ($11.37 from $18.95) looks like a shirt with the carpenters work belt with all those tools.

Retiring Stamps and Accessories - Baroque Motifs

I had my Stamping class this afternoon and we used stamp sets and accessories that are retiring, so in the coming days I will share these creations with you all. Check out the up-to-date list of items as some have already sold out.

Today, I am featuring one of the very first stamp sets I purchased way back in 2008 even before I was a demonstrator - Baroque Motifs which is available until sold out at $39.95 in wood.

I decided to use many shades of pink with a touch of River Rock, oh I love this design oh so quick with a touch of class with the feature in the right hand corner.

Masculine Theme Blog Hop

What a wet and rainy morning but what a way to warm you up, grab a coffee and enjoy some wonderful creations with a group of my friends who happen also to be Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I am so looking forward to catching up with many of the Victorian ladies next weekend on Saturday at the SU event. Jack Frost is here... as is Christmas in July

Well what about the freezing weather we had here in Woodside, South Australia this morning...Jack Frost had been busy overnight and it was like a white Christmas had arrived, we'll on Saturday afternoon I will be hosting a Christmas in July Stamping Class and it will be nice and warm inside as we are due to have another overnight chill. I coloured the daisy with the SU markers straight onto the rubber, love how simple it is and you get a fantastic effect - oh so quickly.

To make the closure at the bottom, just put a staple in the middle and cover it with some lovely grossgrain ribbon. I bought some cheap notebooks and white embossed on the plastic covers (don't heat too much as the plastic might melt, but none of my 14 ladies had any problems).

Just a very quick post to wish all the Mother's in blog land a happy day on Sunday. Mother's Day is always filled with mix emotions from me as it's 12 years since the passing of my mum, but it is great to remember all those wonderful times we shared.
