CASEing the Catty - #CTC319 Case a Technique - Embossing Ornate Floral 3D

It's that time of the week when I participate in CASEing the Catty #CTC319, we are featuring CASEing a Technique being Embossing, I have chosen to add textured embossing.

You may have started the blog hop here, welcome or you may have come from Michelle Strazds.

I have decide to CASE the sketch image in the centre to the left which is on page 148 of the Annual Catalogue.

I have added a layer of Ornate Floral textured embossed velum which I have layered onto the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper to create a softer layer instead of using a different colour of cardstock.

I have fussy cut the pansies and leaves from the Designer Series Paper as I wanted only a small white edge and I layered these to the left of the card and then stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss.

Stamp Set:  Etched in Nature
Cardstock:  Blackberry Bliss, Basic White, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Ornate Floral 3D Textured Embossing Folder, Triple Banner Punch (retired)

Thanks for stopping by, now it's time to hop on over to Julia Quinn.

Are you inspired by the CASEing the Catty Crew why not participate in the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge by uploading a card or project to the facebook page.

  3. Beautiful card Kathryn. I'm loving this Pansy Petals suite and the stamp and die set. Have been working these stamps both from the DSP as well as the stamp pad and can't get enough of it. I love that you put all those flowers on that busy background dsp and they still show up and still love beautiful. Great card! Thanks for inspiring.

  4. Such a bold background but the vellum works well to soften the colours and make the pansy flowers stand out more.
