I have used up strips of cardstock that I have in a plastic sleeve of each of the In Colors - Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock.
I place them all lined together with a little adhesive on grid paper in the Stamparatus and used the NEW Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in Crumb Cake.
I then layered them onto a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock, with a tiny gap between each and adhered them with some dimensional. I then added the sentiment and a die cut butterfly from the now sold out Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper. Finally I added some Clear Elegant Faceted Gems to the head of each of the butterflies.

What a nice idea Kathryn to add all the retiring in colours to the front of this card. A nice way to use up some scraps. I almost thought it was gold embossed instead of crumb cake ink. I think the clear gems just finishes this card off nicely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super super clever way to show off lots of colours and strips of paper!! Love this idea, and the gold butterflies suit it just perfectly! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely way to combine the colours in one card but still let the butterflies shine.
ReplyDeleteLove your card Kathryn. Stamping on strips of coloured card-stock looks so good, especially with the Butterfly Brilliance set. The extra butterfly and gems add that something special. Xxx
ReplyDeleteWell that's a bit clever! Love the effect Kathryn. I thought they were heat embossed in gold at first, but I like the Crumb cake effect - reminds me of old printed pages. And I love the half butterfly on the inside. Don't we all have lots of little strips left over! Great way to use them
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever and pretty design, I like how you stamped the butterflies with a neutral colour, very effective. A fun card!
