Colour INKspiration Springtime Impressions Thinlits - #CI38

I have not had a lot of free time to create for the Colour INKspiration Crew for a long time but I could not miss this one as I just love this colour combination of Powder Pink, Grey Granite, Berry Burst, Whisper White and Basic Black.

You maybe starting here so welcome to the blog hop or you could have come from Mel Pagano.

I have made a sympathy card for a friend who sadly loss her husband way too early from dementia, and I thought straight away of a butterfly as his memories will be with her forever.

I have used the gorgeous Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to mount the layered butterfly in the pinks and grey with a sprinkle of Black Metallic Thread to make it stand out even more.

It will not take away her tear and hurt but it will given her a smile that he will be around her always.

Stamp Set:  Thoughts and Prayers
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Grey Granite
Ink:  Berry Burst, Grey Granite
Accessories:  Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Springtime Impressions Thinlits, Black Metallic Thread, Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon

Now it's time to hop over to my good friend, Rachel Palmieri from Victoria.

Don't forget to check out the Facebook Group and like the page as this is where you and all our followers share their paper craft projects using the colour combination.  I hope to see you there!

There is a new Colour Challenge every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), and a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Colour INKspiration Facebook Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.

  1. I love the black thread detail - it sets off the butterfly to perfection. Sad reason to make a card, but it really is beautiful.

  4. So very beautiful and such an appropriate card for your friend. The spotted ribbon in behind the butterfly is such a pretty way to ground it while adding some texture.
