Colour INKspiration Challenges - #CI200 Your Favourite Colour

Colour INKspiration Challenges is celebration 200 Challenges, wow what an achievement!  As an original Crew member I was asked to come and celebrate with the very talented creators.

Lou Kitzelman set a challenge of creating a card using my favourite Stampin' Up! colour (current or retired).  We can also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige, Basic Black and metallic colours.

I could not go past my favourite green "Old Olive" it's an oldie but it's still my go to green shade.

I have chosen a  variety of stamp sets to create a background of green foliage, I masked off a strip on an angle in the centre which I stamped straight onto the cardstock.  I added a strip of Very Vanilla mounted onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock which I stamped the sentiment

Then I layered some foliage die cuts which I added some more Old Olive ink with my blending brush onto Very Vanilla cardstock and vellum (which is again available as an online exclusive in 12" x 12" sheets.  Finally I put some Holographic Resin Dots to finish off my card.

Stamp Sets: Textured Notes, Gallery Blooms, Biggest Wish
Cardstock:  Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Vellum
Ink:  Old Olive
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Petal of Beauty Dies, Holographic Resin Dots

CASEing the Catty - #CTC546 Case a Punch or Die Project

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring a punch or die project from either the Annual or Mini Catalogues.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I have been going through my Designer Series Paper earlier in the week searching for a pink shade and realised that the packet of Florals in Bloom had not had any love for a while, sometimes the Annual Catalogue gets forgotten when the Mini Catalogue and Online Exclusives come out.

I cased the card featured on page 41 of the Annual Catalogue and have used the same Designer Series Paper however I have used the new Online Exclusive, Words of Beauty Stamp Set and Dies for the beautiful sentiment.

After creating this card, I then thought I would make a Christmas card using a green and Cherry Cobbler theme with the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper with a Shaded Spruce card base.

I did not have the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder and Die so I stamped the "Christmas" in Cherry Cobbler from Traditional Labels and fussy cut it out and then stamped "Happy" from Simply Said in Black Memento.

Stamp Set:  Words of Beauty, Traditional Labels, Simply Said
Cardstock:  Timid Tiger, Petunia Pop, Basic White, Floral in Bloom Designer Series Paper, Shaded Spruce, Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Words of Beauty Dies, Secret Sea Flat Pearls, Poppy Parade Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems (retired)

I had to make a Christmas version as well using the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper.

Close up of my fussy cut Christmas as I don't have a die for this one.

Thanks for stopping by this week, now it's time to see what Andrea Sargent has created.  If you have not heard my lovely team member has again been chosen for a second year as a Stampin' Up! Artisan.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC545 Case Online Exclusives

On Tuesday, Stampin' Up! updated the Online Exclusives with some more wonderful products and this is what CASEing the Catty are featuring this week.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder.

I have choose the background Lasting Linen stamp example to CASE this week, this card also features the new Friendly Foliage bundle.

I started by gold embossing the Lasting Linen background stamp set which I layered onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock which I put onto a Thick Basic White card base.

I then added Old Olive ink to the featured foliage centrepiece with border and used a sponge dauber with Garden Green to make a two tone green effect.  The matching dies cut out the outside border and the inside so you can see the lovely gold embossed linen effect in the gaps.

Finally I white embossed the sentiment onto a strip of Old Olive and an added a large white baker's twine bow.

To decorate inside the card, I had a little thin strip of the gold embossed which I added on top of a couple of leaves I stamped in the two tones of green as featured on the front of the card.

Stamp Set:  Lasting Linen, Friendly Foliage
Cardstock:  Garden Green, Old Olive, Thick Basic White, Basic White
Ink:  Old Olive, Garden Green, Versamark
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Friendly Foliage Dies, Gold Embossing Powder, White Baker's Twine
