CASE-ing the Catty Time of Year - #CTC106

This week at CASE-ing the Catty we are featuring the Hostess Sets from either the Annual or Holiday Catalogues.

You may be starting here so welcome or you may have come from Julia Quinn and she has not disappointed again this week.

I am sharing with you a card that I made at my Card Class, I love when I am rushing around and don't have alot of inspiration I can just go to the catalogues and case a card.  I am using the Time of Year Hostess stamp set from the Annual Catalogue and it has lots of themes - Christmas, Birthdays and anything in between.

I have used a strip of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate on the gold side (yes it's gold on one side and silver on the other), as I did not have enough to share with all my class attendees, but it still makes an impact.  To create the details on the corners of the Whisper White cardstock I used my smallest Circle Punch to cut off a quarter of a circle.

I have made this card in shades of pinks and purples but I did case the one to the left in Christmas colours too as it's only 4 weeks to Christmas Day now and I need to add to my Christmas Card Box quickly!

Art with Heart Team Blog Hop - It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! Team have created some amazing Christmas projects to inspire you with the theme, It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!  We have tags, gift bags, teachers gift ideas, decoration and many more fun projects to create this holiday season.


I have decided to share with you a Mini Desk Calendar that I have designed this year for friends and family as well as my fundraiser for Compassion Australia and my sponsored child and her community in Northern Thailand.
I have used a half an piece of Thick Whisper White A4 sheet and then scored it at 5", 10", 10 5/8" and 11 1/4", then I folded it up and put some tear and tape adhesive on the small last strip and then layered up my Delightful Dijon and Whisper White cardstock.  With the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set I splashed Delightful Dijon and Crumb Cake then added all the extra details of the Flourishes Dies in Whisper White and a strip of Delightful Dijon Designer Series Paper and matching ribbon and some of my favourite Gold Baker's Twine.
