By The Tide Calendar Display Card meets Clear Block Technique

I held my last Card Class of the year on Saturday and we made this Calendar Display Card.  I used the Clear Block technique to make my background, using your So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Marina Mist markers you colour onto your clear block and then spray some water onto the block to make the colours blend together and then stamp it onto a piece of whisper white cardstock and wow a fantastic background of sand and sea.

Whilst the background is drying I stamped the seahorse and the shell and fussy cut around them and then stamped the sea grass and wrapped some linen thread around the bottom then mounted the image onto the Marina Mist stand and finally added the calendar with sticky strip.

Ink: So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Baked Brown Sugar

Here is a close up of the way I made it stand, with a few folds in the middle of the card stock and then I used sticky strip to adhere the top of the card together.

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #134 - Bright & Beautiful Star Ornament

Today I am having a little time creating getting prepared for me last Card Class of the year.  We are going to complete a couple of Christmas Cards and whilst I was designing the card, I was inspired by the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #134 Ornaments.

I took this challenge with a little twist and turned my card into an ornament that you can send as a card with a message in the inside but then you can pop it on your Christmas tree.  I hope you are inspired to make these decorations/cards to give at this special time of the year.

I have used the coordinating Bright & Beautiful stamp set with the Star Framelits Dies with also the paper piercing set that also matches this set.

I silver embossing the second largest star and then folded it with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at each point to create a 3 dimensional star in the centre and mounted it with dimensionals.  I have cut out the word "Joy" from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies twice once in the Pacific Point and then topped it with the Silver Glimmer Paper.
