Happy Mother's Day...Beautiful Butterflies

Just a very quick post to wish all the Mother's in blog land a happy day on Sunday. Mother's Day is always filled with mix emotions from me as it's 12 years since the passing of my mum, but it is great to remember all those wonderful times we shared.

On Saturday, I held my regularly monthly class and we made this card which features some wonderful Stampin' Up! products the big shot and dies together with the designer series paper (remember if you buy 3 packets this month you get 1 for FREE) and the all matching accessories with only the sentiment using a stamp.

I love this double layered butterfly with the sponging around the edges with the pearls to set it off so delicately.

I have used one of my favourite Designer Series Paper, Timeless Portrait, to participate in Nicole Derendorf's Sketch Challenge, (I did turn the sketch around) now that I am going to post this card I have looked at the fine print of the challenge and it said that it needs to be a Christmas Card, oh well here is my card anyway, Sorry Nicole.

JAI#116 - Just Add Mother ...Vintage Vogue

I had my class yesterday and we featured Mother's Day cards and this is one that I made that I was really pleased with the outcome and thought I would enter into the Just Add Ink Challenge this week which is "Just Add Mother".

Loving the colour combination of Lucky Limeade, Rose Red, Basic Grey and Very Vanilla and the card just pops so nicely, love it when I am so happy with the end product.
