Charisma Cardz - Challenge 12

I don't get to stamp a lot at the moment too busy having a social life but I did want to participate in something so have completed a card for the Charisma Cardz, Challenge 12 - My favourite Things, well my favourite item are ribbons. I just love ribbons and look forward to ordering some of the new ones out of the new catalogue.

Bodacious Bouquet

I have used one of the stamp sets, Bodacious Bouquet, that I purchased to help out the Victorian Bushfires. I used a design that I got from Andrea Lowlock who sent me a card quiet some time ago now. It was very easy to make and so quick which is unusal for me as I usually take hours to complete a card.

I have had a few enquiries about how to create this card. I am not a demonstrator, so I don't have the time to make up instructions, however I did create another card as I already had posted this one off. Here goes start with a piece of whisper white cardstock 15 cm x 30 cm (A4 wide) and then just stamp randomly starting high on the right hand side and slowly going down to the left hand side in a bit of a straight line, then fill in the rest, leaving a white space to write in (which I forget to do in the one just completed). Cut around the images leaving you the stamped area and no white cardstock. Fold your card then in thirds and stamp on the back of the middle third. I find it really easy they only take me about 10-15 minutes to complete and wow that is very quick for me.

Last weeks Charisma Cardz challenge was on Pretty Cards (or Pretty Cards for Mum) and this week it is for "something for the guys" so I have created a couple of cards very similiar as they use the split negative technique.

UStamp Card Swap

I have never participated in a card swap before but UStamp ran one for the first time last month which I participated in. I was luck enough to have one of the organisers Dawn Rapsas from the United States of America as my partner. You had to send three full cards but I received so much more...eight full cards plus 2 A5 pieces of cardstock each of the new incolours with a selection of ribbons and felt flowers.
