I used the split negative technique learned from UStamp to complete this card for Kristina's colour challenge this week. I have used the other half of the embossed image to create another card. (I don't have white and black embossing powder which was demonstrated so I used silver.)

UStamp - Split Negative Technique
I am participating in the UStamp and have just learnt about the split negative technique unfortunately I don't have black embossing powder so I had to use gold for both sides instead of the traditional black and white.

Victorian Bushfires...Please help them if you can
It is just so terrible with the death toll has reached 127 people to date have perished in the Victorian Bushfires. It's just so sad for the many families of these people with over 800 homes burnt to the ground.
I have just been online to donate to the Australian Red Cross who are helping these people, and if you reading my blog please help these people either with your thoughts and prayers or even donating to this cause.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #4
Yesterday was very hot in Adelaide as described in my last post however Melbourne's country areas suffered major fires and to date 35 people have perished and they expect this to rise once they have been able to access the homes. South Australia's country fire service are on there way to help fight these fires as we have received a welcomed cool change here. I have lived in the Adelaide Hills all my life and witnessed the distruction of the Ash Wednesday fires back in the 80's so I understand how frightening this time is preparing to vacate your home, fortunately for my family in the end our home was not threatened but I know you are always ready during the summer time. My thoughts and prayers and with families and friends that are effected by this horrific situation which they think have been lit be suspected arsonists.
Well back to stamping, I have created a card for Makeesha's colour challenge. I had a little trouble getting the wording straight as I tried it twice without a lot of success but gave up as I did not want to waste the card.
Stamp Set: Congrats, Wanted
Ink: Rose Red, Sage Shadow
Card: Regal Rose, Sage Shadow, Whisper White
Accessories: White & Pink Flowers, Pink Rhinestone Brads, Scallop Edge Punch

Mojo Monday #72
Another hot and very windy day in Adelaide, but I decided to pull out some stamping gear into my lounge room floor to create a card for the Mojo Monday challenge. As I have been back to work and then with the last couple of weeks of 40+ I have not had the time or the inspiration to make any cards. There is a cool change coming later today and it will only be 25ish tomorrow so that will be fantastic but we need to get rid of all the dust in the air as we have had really bad gusty north winds with total fire bands and very high risk fire danger. Here is a photo looking towards Mount Lofty taken this morning, but it does not show how red the air was with top soil from up north.
