CASEing the Catty - #CTC484 Case the Annual Catalogue

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Annual Catalogue so you have oh so many pages of inspiration this week.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

For my card this week I have chosen to feature the Country Birdhouse Bundle featured on page 48 of the Annual Catalogue.

My card is a CASE of the home decor piece, I have scaled the finishing details so it can fit onto a normal cards size.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base and then cut out the Birdhouse in Petal Pink and put it through the Timber 3D embossing folder and then layered all the features of the birdhouse.

The bird and flowers and stamped in Black Memento and I used the blends in Pool Party, Balmy Blue and Gray Granite and then add the die cut flowers in Petal Pink and the die cut leaves in Pool Party.

Stamp Set:  Country Birdhouse
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Petal Pink, Basic Black, Basic White, Country Woods Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Gray Granite
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Country Birdhouse Dies, Timber 3D Embossing Folder

CASEing the Catty - #CTC483 Case the Colours of the To Market Designer Series Paper

It's Sunday again and time for CASEing the Catty.  This week it's using the Colours of To Market Designer Series Paper.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from my friend, Rachel Palmieri.

I had not used this DSP before and I just loved the card with the barrel and garden vegetables.  I only have a 1/4" share of this paper so I wanted to create a card that I would be able to share at a future card class so I combined both the designs on page 36 of the Annual Catalogue.

I have started with a Crumb Cake card base and then cut a piece of Basic White and added a strip of the Garden Green DSP to either end and then used a little stamp from Heartfelt Hexagon in Pumpkin Pie to make a further border.

It was then time to fussy cut out the half wine barrel and all the vegetables which reminded me so much of my dad's garden in my childhood.

Finally I added them all with dimensionals and finished it off with a lovely sentiment.

Stamp Set:  Heartfelt Hexagon, Country Birdhouse
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Basic White, To Market Designer Series Paper

CASE-ing the Catty - #CTC482 Case a Shaker Card

It's all about shaker cards this week at CASEing the Catty.  They are one of my favourite cards to make and I especially like to make the for Christmas.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I received my inspiration from the shaker card on page 71 of the Annual Catalogue.

It features the Loveliest Tree bundle, I don't have this set but I have the Frosted Forest bundle and I thought I would make one of my quick and easy shaker cards.

My inspiration came from just the centre of the card which was the shaker section and decide to make a Clear Envelope Shaker Card.

I have taken a piece of the Country Lace Designer Series Papers and used the tree masks and created 2 small and 1 large trees as my background using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.  I then created another tree to be added to the outside of the card.

For further information about making a Clear Envelope Shaker Card, I made a tutorial a few years ago and if you would like a copy please send me an email kathrynsstampinworld@gmail.com and I will send it out to you or join my newsletter mailing list and you will receive copies of my tutorials.

Stamp Set:  Greetings of the Season
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White,  Petal Pink, Country Lace Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Old Olive
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Frosted Forest Decorative Masks, Frosted Forest Dies, Clear Envelopes, Sequins (retired)

CASE-ing the Catty - #CTC481 Case A Sketch

We are CASEing a sketch this week at CASEing the Catty which was inspired by the card on page 25 of the Annual Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Michelle Strazds.

I have made my card in a landscape format instead of the portrait one featured.

I started with a piece of Old Olive cardstock as my base and added a layer of Old Olive which I had added Old Olive ink dragged over the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and then put it through the Cut 'n Emboss Machine to give it further depth of colour.

I place a strip of the Online Exclusives Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper down first than added the Very Vanilla sentiment and which was cut out using the Greetings of the Season Die added the strip of Garden Green with the blend of stamps from the Greeting of the Season to create & Happy New Year.

I cut some of the gorgeous leaves and bells again from the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper with the matching Golden Greenery Dies and added them to each side of the sentiments (like the squares in the sketch).  Finally adding a few Gold Sequins to finish the card.

Stamp Set:  Greeting of the Season
Cardstock:  Old Olive, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Greeting of the Season Dies, Golden Greenery Dies, Timber 3D Embossing Folder, Gold Sequins (retired)
