CASEing the Catty - #CTC357 Sketch Sale-A-Bration Driving By

I  am loving having time off, it's giving me time to relax and create.  This week we are using a sketch challenge for inspiration for the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

Welcome if you are starting here or you may have come from Sandra Collett.

I have chosen to use the Driving By stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure on page 7 for my card this week and it also utilises the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper which you both can get for free with either a $90 or $180 purchase of Stampin' Up! product.

Due to shipping delays in the South Pacific region, Sale-A-Bration will be continuing until Wednesday, 16 March in Australia.

I have chosen to used So Saffron tone on tone with the Combi van and then layered this strip onto the the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper to create like a doted line effect of a road.  The added the Volkswagen in Black Memento and coloured it in used the Stampin' Blends.

Stamp Set:  Driving By
Ink:  Black Memento, So Saffron, (Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron & So Saffron Stampin Blends)
Cardstock:  So Saffron, Basic White, Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Cut n Emboss Machine, Beautiful Shapes Dies

Beautiful coloured Volkswagen

Thanks for stopping by now it's time to see what Rachel Palmieri has created this week.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC356 Colours of the Heart & Home DSP, Catching the Butterflies

Wow another week has gone by and it's been a creative week with preparing for my card class yesterday which was my first for the year.  I decided to do a card that I could also feature in this week's CASEing the Catty Challenge by using the Colours of the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper - Pale Papaya, Garden Green, Misty Moonlight, Fresh Freesia, Cinnamon Cider and Basic Gray.

Welcome if you are starting here or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

I have chosen the card on page 58 to CASE using very similar colours and design with my card base being Pale Papaya and I used the cute little girl from the Sale-A-Bration Catching Butterflies stamp set.

When recreating the card, it was only then that I notice that the Heart & Home Doily had more textured that the cut out featured and I swapped out the Hive 3D Embossing Folder for one that I had in my collection from the Annual Catalogue, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

Stamp Set:  Catching Butterflies, Blessings of Home
Cardstock:  Pale Papaya, Basic White, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento, Misty Moonlight (Pale Papaya, Cinnamon Cider, Fresh Freesia, SU700, SU800 Stampin' Blends)
Accessories:  Cut n Embossing Machine, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Heart & Home Doilies, Denim 3/8" Ribbon, Night of Navy Fan Baker's Twine

Close up of the textured doily and the little girl.

Now it's time to hop over to Michelle Strazds to see what she has to share this week.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC355 Sale-A-Bration Heart & Home Designer Series Paper

This week I have been busy scrapbooking my 50th birthday celebrations and I wanted to coordinate it with this week's CASEing the Catty challenge with features the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Welcome if you are starting the hop here, or you may have come from Sandra Collett.

I have chosen the card featured on page 8, which uses the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle which I kindly borrowed from my talented team member, Andrea Sargent.

I am using the 6" x 8" Album with the Photo Pocket Pages, the Blessings of Home Bundle, Heart & Home Designer Series Papers and the Memories & More Card Pack.

I have selected a photograph and then chose the 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper which I cut out using the largest rainbow dies and layered the them onto Basic White cardstock which I had ran through the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

To finish it off I added some  Highland Heather under the photo and strip of Fresh Freesia cardstock with the "you make me happy" sentiment and a cloud which I included the names of the guests and a little twine bow.

Wow I am loving the pockets as they make it oh so quick!

I then completed the other pockets with handwritten cards from the guests featured with matching photographs.

As I finished this in no time, I went on to create another double page which features CASEing the Catty Crew member, Rachel Palmieri who made the road trip from Melbourne with her husband to celebrate with me and enjoy a lovely refreshing holiday.

Stamp Set:  Rainbow of Happiness
Cardstock:  Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, Basic White, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento
Accessories:  Cut n Embossing Machine, Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Hive 3D Embossing Folder, Cloud Punch, Garden Green Twine (retired)

Now it's time to hop on over to Rachel Palmieri and see what she has created.
