CASEing the Catty - #CTC362 Case a Sketch Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper

This week at CASEing the Catty we are using a sketch challenge inspired by the Annual Catalogue simplify or step it up collection on page 71.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Rebecca Scurr.

I am currently on holidays in Victoria but I made this card prior to leaving last weekend.

I have chosen to feature a retiring in color, Bumblebee and I have coordinated this with the beautiful Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper.

I used Bumblebee cardstock as my base and layered a piece of matching DSP.  I then cut 4 @ 1 1/4" squares using 4 different designers, choosing 3 flowers and a lighter square that I could over stamp a sentiment in Black Memento.  I then add a lovely Fresh Freesia ribbon bow and some Polished Pink jewels.

This design would be great to use up all those packs of designer series papers that we all have in our collection.  I would love to see you create some and share with me.

Stamp Set:  Flowing Flowers
Cardstock:  Bumblebee, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento
Accessories:  Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon, Polished Pink In Color Jewels

CASEing the Catty - #CTC361 Case an Animal Card Flowing Flowers

This week at CASEing the Catty we are Caseing an Animal Card #CTC361 in either the Annual or January to June Mini Catalogues.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephens.

I have chosen to case the card from the Annual Catalogue on page 41 which featured the Bunches of Fun stamp set and the cute dog in a cone.

For my card I decided to use the layout of the card and the same colour tones of the orange/browns with a touch of green.

As the 2020-2022 In Colors will be retiring in the next couple of months I wanted to use these.  I have used Cinnamon Cider for my card base with a layer of  of Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper on top.

I then stamped the flower in Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral and the leaves in Evening Evergreen and fussy cutting it out to create a round focal point.  Finally I added a sentiment in Cinnamon Cider and a little part circle in Basic White and some of my favourite Pale Papaya Jewels.

Stamp Set:  Flowing Flowers, Artistically Inked
Cardstock:  Cinnamon Cider, Basic White, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Cider, Evening Evergreen
Accessories:  Cut n Emboss Machine, Layering Circles Dies, Pale Papaya In Color Jewels

CASEing the Catty - #CTC360 Case a Masking Project Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks

This week at CASEing the Catty we are Caseing a Masking Project from either the Annual or January to June Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the Blog Hop if you are starting here or you may have come from Monique Fielder.

I really like the new Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks from the Mini Catalogue and I could not go past using the flowers and leaves from this beautiful set.

I have Cased the card on page 65 of the Mini Catalogue I have used a piece of Misty Moonlight Heart & Home Designer Series paper for my background instead of the masking.

I cut a piece of Basic White using the Orante Layers Dies and then layered the beautiful flowers with the Blending Brushes in Calypso Coral, then Magenta Madness and finally added the leaves in Pear Pizzazz.  To finish it I added the sentiment and a little gold bow.

I don't often put an insert in the card but with the Misty Moonlight cardstock I decide to add the largest die from the Ornate Layers Dies and a little matching DSP.

Stamp Set:  Celebrating You
Cardstock:  Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Calpyso Coral, Magenta Madness, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories:  Cut n Emboss Machine, Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks, Ornate Layers Dies, Blending Brushes, Gold Simply Elegant Trim

Art with Heart Team #ColourCreations39 - Real Red

It's been 12 month since I have participated in the Art with Heart Team #ColourCreationsBlogHop, wow oh wow this year is flying by.  This week we are featuring the colour Real Red.

Welcome to the hop or you may have come from my good friend in Melbourne, Rachel Palmieri.

I received a request this last week to create a card for the organist at my church who was being recognised for playing for 25 years.  This gave me the opportunity to make a piano card which I have looked at for many years.

The most complicated part to the card was drawing the freehand outline of the curve of the piano but it was so very easy, I then cut this out.  With a strip of Basic White, I draw some lines down to create some keys and then I added some thin strips of Basic Basic on dimensionals to create the upper keys on the piano.  Finally I added the sentiment and ribbon and it was finished.

Stamp Set:  Flowing Flowers
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Basic White
Ink:  Real Red
Accessories:  Real Red 3/8" Double Stitched Satin Ribbon

CASEing the Catty - #CTC359 Case a Die Project Pansy Dies

Wow, it's March already and we are now into autumn and in the Adelaide Hills the trees are starting to turn red and yellow.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are highlighting Dies in either the Annual or January to June Catalogues.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen.

I decided to use the Pansy Dies as I have had this bundle in my collection for a long time and the dies have not been used only the stamp set!  Also the Pansy Patch Bundle is reduced from $90 to $80 this month.

I have chosen a gift bag which is a direct CASE from the Annual Catalogue on page 28.  I thought creating the pansy, bud and leaves would be difficult with all the layers but it really surprised me that once I worked out the colours they glued together really easy and I was finished in no time.

It took me longer to work out the joining of the textured embossing folder on the Ombre Gift Bag to make sure the checks flowed through in order.

I am definitely going to use these more now that I now they are not as complicated as they look.

What dies/bundle do you have in your collection that you have not used?  Please share with us this week on the facebook group.

Stamp Set:  Pansy Patch
Cardstock: Soft Succulent , Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight
Accessories:  Cut n Emboss Machine, Pansy Dies, Penned Flower Dies, Checks Embossing Folder, In Color Jewels, Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon. Ombre Gift Bags
