CASEing the Catty - #CTC576 Case Your Favourite Designer Series Paper

This week at Caseing the Catty we are featuring your favourite Designer Series Paper.  

There are quite a few that I love in the May to August Catalogue but I finally chose the Moonlit Floral Designer Series Paper.

My card is cased from the card in the top left hand side of page 41.

I layered my piece of the Designer Series Paper onto Basic White cardstock and then with demensionals placed it onto piece Golden Glow cardstock for my card base.

I added a sentiment and die cut surround from the matching Fern & Floral stamp set and dies in Golden Glow and Black.

Finally adding a couple of fern fronds from the set in Gold Glow and a few Clear Dewdrop Embellishments.

I then made a similar card with a Basic White base with the fronds and Secret Sea Dewdrops.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC572 Case a Bundle

I have been busy with work and scrapbooking over the last few weeks, but it was time for me to participate in this week's CASEing the Catty bundles section of the catalogue from pages 36 to 42.

This week I have chosen to case the Phrases & Frames bundle card in the top left hand corner on page 37.  This bundle is extra special as they include the new impressions dies which really pop.

The rectangle die is quite large and I end up making a 4 1/2" x 6" card so I have room around the beautiful Basic White decorative frame to showcase it onto a Peaceful Pine and Thick White cardstock base.

The Velvet Meadow Speciality Designer Series Paper with the flocked raised surface did not need anything else but a sentiment and a few sequins.

CASEing the Catty #CTC564 Case Mini Catalogue Bundle

 

This week at Caseing the Catty we are featuring the Bundle pages of the January to May Mini Catalogue which are on pages 50 to57.

I have chosen to case the card on the left hand side of page 56 and turn it into a lovely Easter card with a fancy fold to create a cross.  

I started with a standard A5 piece of cardstock and folded it in half and with the front half, I folded it back onto its self to create three equal panels which formed the vertical part of the cross.  I adhered a strip of Basic Beige cardstock across the middle to create the horizontal part of the cross.

Inspired by the darker colours on the edges of the card, I placed some lovely Floral Charm Designer Series Paper and on the edges.  I punched out a circle in Lost Lagoon and white embossed the Easter Greeting before adding this with dimensionals.  I die cut some of the fern leaves from the upcoming Fern & Coral bundle in Basic Beige and Night of Navy and fixed them under the circle and added a baker's twine bow.

Finally, I stamped the church and he is risen inside the card, and wrote my message on the back of the card.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC562 Case a Scrapbooking Layout

I am back from Stampin' Up!'s OnStage event in Sydney and it was lovely to catch up with the CASEing the Catty Crew.  This week we are caseing a scrapbook layout and I am really enjoying creating a double page layout.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC560 Case a Project Featuring Animals

I have not participated in the CASEing the Catty challenge since mid January due to some heart health issues, but I am slowly feeling better and have found relaxation in my craft room over the last few weekends.

This week we are caseing a project featuring animals and I have chosen the cute bunny on page 34 of the January to April Mini Catalogue.

The Formula One Grand Prix is in Melbourne, Australia this weekend and I remember attending the last one that was held in Adelaide where I was an Ayrton Senna fan with the black and gold race car.  Times have changed a lot in 31 years and now as a proud Australian I support Oscar Piastri and I could not go past colouring the car in his team colours.

I chose to stamp the side on view of the car with the checked flag in Peach Pie as a tone on tone background.  It was then time to copy the colours of the front on image of the McLaren Team Grand Prix Formula One Car, in Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Secret Sea.

With some fussy cutting of the checked flags and car, I layered them onto a piece of Designer Series Paper with demensionals to make them stand out and then finished off with a sentiment.

Ink:  Black Memento, Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie

I have been having a little break from creating due to some heart health issues, but I received a BBB (Big Brown Box) on Friday with some new products from the January Online Exclusives so I thought I would share a little with you.
