Sweet Cupcake and Cupcake Cutout Framelits Dies

What an amazing spring day here in the Adelaide Hills, before it rains again tomorrow.  My red rose has it's first bloom for the season and I spent some time this afternoon in the garden tidying up and weeding.  Spring time also bring with hay fever so my nose is running and my eyes are red and itchy.

Well back to creating cards using the Sweet Cupcake stamp set and the matching Cupcake Cutout Framelits Dies I made last weekend.

These cards were posted off to Madonna Dunn earlier this week for her friends Cupcake fundraiser I was very happy in the end with my selection, I hope she likes them and raises lots of funds.

CASE-ing the Catty Sweet Cupcake & Cupcake Cutout Framelits Bundle - CTC101

I am in the process of making some special Cupcake cards for a friend, Madonna who is raising funds for a friend of hers that is having a cupcake theme fundraising event so I thought I would combine this with this week's theme at CASE-ing the Catty with a favourite Annual Catalogue Bundle - Sweet Cupcake with the matching Cupcake Cutout Framelits Dies.

You may be starting here, so welcome or you may have come from Rachel Palmieri and her creation this week.

I have CASEd the card to the left this week which features three colourful cupcakes.  My middle pink cupcake has some three dimension icing using some white acrylic paint, cornflour, tombow glue and to colour it pink I used the Mellon Mambo reinker.  I mixed them together on a disposable plastic plate to make a paste and then stamped it over a couple laters of Blushing Bride and Mellon Mambo ink and then covered it in Clear Wink of Stella.

For the other cupcakes icing, I used Daffodil Delight stamped off for the background, then Daffodil Delight and finally Crushed Curry and with the Pool Party stamped off, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the last colour.  Now for the cupcake I used Sahara Sand stamped off for the background, then Sahara Sand and the highlights with Tip Top Taupe.

Stamp Set:  Sweet Cupcake
Cardstock:  Blushing Bride, Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Mellon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Sahara Sand, Tip Top Taupe, Sweet Sugarplum
Accessories:  Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Cupcake Cutout Framelits Dies, Banner Triple Punch, Project Life Corner Punch, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

The first card has a "Make a Wish" Banner like the Stampin' Up! example.

The second card just features the three cupcakes, which one is your favourite?

Art with Heart Team Blog Hop - Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper

Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! Team are sharing some wonderful ideas to inspire you with our Designer Series Papers.

This month is the start of the new Stampin' Up! year and we have a special promotion on our Designer Series Paper, Buy 3 get 1 FREE for the month of October and there is no limit!

Today I am featuring the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper which was on my must have list once I saw the Annual Catalogue but like so many people I struggle to cut into the DSP when I really love them or one special sheet within a pack.  I have been inspired to just cut into this pack and I did share this pack with my Card Class attendees on Sunday.

I have had a need for a few sympathy cards lately and I do love to have a few within my box for sending in the time of loss of a special one.  I like the little extra feature of the Copper Metallic Thread and the Sweet Sugarplum Sequins just makes this card so special.

Stamp Set:  Heartfelt Sympathy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Night of Navy
Accessories:  Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Lots of Labels Framelits, Copper Metallic Thread, Fancy Frost Sequins, Banner Triple Punch

CASE-ing the Catty Swirly Scribbles Thinlits - CTC100

Here at CASE-ing the Catty we are celebrating 100 Blog Hops with the Presents and Pinecones Section from the Holiday Catalogue (pages 18 to 31).

You may be starting here, so welcome or you may have come from Judy May and her amazing talents don't disappoint again this week.

I have decided to case the card to the left with a wreath, I decided to use the largest swirl from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits in Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke to create my wreath base and added the Cherry Cobbler bow from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits set on a layer of my very favourite This Christmas Speciality Designer Series Paper.  I have finished it off with a few White Gold Sequins and a little sentiment from the Merry Mice stamp set.

Stamp Set:  Merry Mice
Cardstock:  Pear Pizzazz, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Old Olive
Accessories:  Big Shot Die-cutting Machine, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, Fancy Frost Sequins, 1 3/8" Circle Punch

CASE-ing the Catty Christmas Tags

I am sharing some wonderful Christmas Tags today inspired by the Holiday Catalogue for this weeks CASE-ing the Catty.

My lovely Stampin' Up! Downlines (and a couple of ex-Downlines) created with me earlier this month and I set them the challenge to make a Christmas Tag to coincide with this week's theme.

CASE-ing the Catty Frosted Medallions - CTC99

I hosted a team evening last Saturday and we made tags inspired by the Holiday Catalogue to coincide with this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop.

You may be starting here, so welcome or you may have come from Deb Speijers and her tag this week.

I was lucky enough to use Andrea's from my small Stampin' Up! team Frosted Medallions stamp set and she even had the oh so cute Christmas Trinkets Embellishments.

I started with a piece of Pool Party cardstock and stamped the Brushstrokes background stamp on an angle with Pool Party ink.  I then White embossed a piece of vellum cardstock with the image from Frosted Medallions and then stamped the centrepiece on Whisper White cardstock with Pool Party ink and cut out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  I then layered both pieced of cardstock together and attached it to my champagne bottle which was wrapped in the new cellophane bags and then decorated with the beautiful Silver Glitter ribbon and Christmas Trinket Bells.

Stamp Set:  Frosted Medallions, Here's to Cheers, Brushstrokes
Cardstock:  Pool Party, Vellum, Whisper White
Ink:  VersaMark, Pool Party
Accessories:  Christmas Trinkets Embellishments, 6" x 17" Gusseted Cellophane Bags, Silver 3/8" Glitter Ribbon, White Stampin' Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine
