CASEing the Catty - #CTC260 Peaceful Poppies

Welcome to 2020 and the first time I have created for they year.  This week at CASEing the Catty, we are showcasing the Mini Catalogue.

You maybe starting the blog hop here, so welcome or you may have come from Peta Stephens.

Wow, what a challenging 3 weeks since Friday, 20 December in the fire effected community of Woodside, Adelaide Hills.  I evacuated on the Friday morning and it was Saturday afternoon when I found out that my home was still standing but the fire had reached to within 400 metres from my home.  I was oh so lucky but 86 homes were destroyed through the Cuddle Creek fire alone and now we have been continually effected by the Kangaroo Island fires and to the wider Australia with over 1,200 homes burnt.

It's just such a difficult time but the community has come together to help each other, it still makes me tear up when I am touched by my family and friends offers of help towards the Adelaide Hills recovery.  I wanted to thank these very generous people by sending them a card. I wanted a quick and simple one that I could generate many times over and the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper made my life oh so easy.

I CASEd the card to the left, and made it simple by not including the velum poppies and leaves and placed the beautiful sentiment "Thinking of you with all my heart" at the bottom of the card and added a few of the Metallic Sequins from the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

Stamp Set:  Peaceful Moments
Cardstock:  Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories:  Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Painted Labels Dies, Metallic Sequins

  2. I’m so glad that both you and your house are safe. It must have been so scary for you. I was far enough away luckily but know lots of friends impacted also.
Great quick card. I’m sure anyone who received one would be so happy.

  3. Katheryn I'm glad you and your family are safe. I know how frightening it can be to be evacuated from your home and not knowing if you have a home to go back to. Your card is fabulous and I'm sure the recipients will love them.
