CASE-ing the Catty Time of Year - #CTC106

This week at CASE-ing the Catty we are featuring the Hostess Sets from either the Annual or Holiday Catalogues.

You may be starting here so welcome or you may have come from Julia Quinn and she has not disappointed again this week.

I am sharing with you a card that I made at my Card Class, I love when I am rushing around and don't have alot of inspiration I can just go to the catalogues and case a card.  I am using the Time of Year Hostess stamp set from the Annual Catalogue and it has lots of themes - Christmas, Birthdays and anything in between.

I have used a strip of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate on the gold side (yes it's gold on one side and silver on the other), as I did not have enough to share with all my class attendees, but it still makes an impact.  To create the details on the corners of the Whisper White cardstock I used my smallest Circle Punch to cut off a quarter of a circle.

I have made this card in shades of pinks and purples but I did case the one to the left in Christmas colours too as it's only 4 weeks to Christmas Day now and I need to add to my Christmas Card Box quickly!

Stamp Set:  Time of Year
Cardstock:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, Old Oliver

Now it's time to hop on over to Krissy Buck who has created with another Hostess stamp set.

If you are inspired this week by the blog hop featuring the Hostess stamp sets why not participate in our monthly challenge CASE-ing a card or project in either the Annual Catalogue or Holiday Catalogue, go to the linky tool at CTC and the winner will be announced on the first Sunday in December.

  1. I find Wisteria Wonder a difficult colour to use but the our card looks great, love the acetate underneath.

  3. I love how you have used the CASE two ways, so similar but so very different. The acetate strip is a great addition.

  4. Love your birthday adaptation Kathryn! Such a quick & easy way to transform a catalogue card & create a card for another occasion. Kelly x PS, Wisteria Wonder is not a favourite of mine either but it's great on this card!

  5. Love your case and love the colours. The idea of using a strip of the window sheet is a great way to get the best value for everyone.
