CASE-ing the Catty One Wild Ride - CTC93

Welcome to CASEing the Catty Blog Hop, wow that week went by so very quick this week we are highlighting the Artistic Expressions section (pages 92-157) in the Annual Catalogue.

You may have started here, so welcome to the hop or you may have come from Kelly Kent.

One of the first stamp sets I purchased was One Wild Ride as I like to feature a male card at most of my card classes.  I think this card suits all ages that are interested in motor sports.

My card is an direct CASE of the one featured in the Annual Catalogue and I would like to highlight the layers of Very Vanilla with a scrunch up of the cardstock, which some of my class attendees struggle to do.

It has lots of grunge with stamping and sponge daubing all the edges.  In the close up photograph I have tried to highlight the embossing in clear embossing powder with the tyre marks but on the Basic Black cardstock it is hard to make it stand out.

Stamp Sets:  One Wild Ride
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Real Red, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Basic Black, Real Red, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede, VersaMark
Accessories:  Heat Tool, Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, Linen Thread, Sponge Dauber

Now it's time to hop on over to Rebecca Scurr and her project this week.

If you are inspired by the Annual Catalogue and the blog hop, why not participate in our monthly challenge by going to the linky tool at CTC and the winner will be announced on the first Sunday in September.

  1. Oh, lovely boy card!! My ladies always struggle with scrunching paper too, but it makes for a lovely textured effect.

  6. Great minds think alike Kathryn. The same stamp set - totally different ways. That's what I love about CASE-ing The Catty. I love the scrunched up paper look you've created here, I might have to give that a try!
