CASEing the Catty - #CTC327 Snowflake Wishes and So Many Snowflakes Dies

Wow, today we are celebrating our 7th Anniversary of blog hops at CASEing the Catty.

I can not believe it's been this long, time just flies by when you are having fun creating.  Bronwyn Eastley invited me onto the Crew when it was launched but I declined as it was a weekly commitment in the beginning, but at the Stampin' Up! Gold Coast Convention she convinced me to join as I could participate when I can.  I love CASEing the Catalogues they give you so many options and inspiration.  I need to have a look back at my first post and see when my first post was.

You may be starting here so welcome to the hop or you may have come from Peta Stephen

This week we are featuring the Holiday Section of the Annual Catalogue - pages 88 to 95 which coincided with my Christmas in July card class which I hosted yesterday and we made this shaker card featured on page 90.

I decided to make mine in shades of blue - Balmy Blue, Pacific Point and tiny bit of Pool Party.

I love the snowflakes in this set as they layer well together to give depth and dimension in the corners of the card on top of a little snowflake stamping.

I then added some snowflakes and sequins to the shaker (unfortunately the current sequins did not match my colour theme so I had to use some from my discontinued stash) and then finally added the Gray Granite ribbon and fussy cut sentiment in the centre and added the cute gems.

Stamp Set:  Snowflake Wishes
Cardstock:  Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Basic White
Ink:  Balmy Blue, Pacific Point
Accessories:  Cut n' Emboss Machine, So Many Snowflakes Dies, Window Sheets, Blue Adhesive Backed Gems, Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon, Fancy Frost Sequins (retired), Sprinkles Embellishments (retired), Snowflake Sequins (retired)

Social Stamping - #Oh2020! Snail Mail

It's the end of 2020, and wow it's been a year to forget and looking forward to the New Year.  This month at Social Stamping we are featuring #Oh2020!

You may have started the hop here so welcome, or you may have come from Lisa Whitehead.

I have been sending cards after COVID19 hit Australia with a bang from March 2020 to share with those that have been in lockdown for many days, weeks and even months.

Today's card features my favourite card design for 2020 and I have been making them since November - the shaker card.  Due to all the online purchases and Australia Post delivering cards every second day, it is really Snail Mail, which has been slower than normal this year with Australia Post taking oh so long to get a card to my friends around South Australia, Australia and around the World.

I have a tutorial with step by step instructions and photographs for this quick and easy shaker card using the Clear Translucent Medium Envelopes just email me and I'll send you a copy (or join my mailing list and you will receive lots of inspiration and tutorials).

Cardstock:  Brushing Bride, Snail Mail Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Rectangle Stitched Dies, Clear Translucent Medium Envelopes, Snowflake Sequins, From my Heart Faceted Gems (retired, but they were on the Clearance Rack recently)

Social Stamping - #Merry&Bright Christmas Shaker Card

I am finally participating in Kelly Kent's Social Stamping, this month the theme is Merry & Bright and I am sharing with you a very exciting and easy Christmas Shaker card.

You may have started the hop here, so you are so welcome or you may have come from Michelle Strazds.

I was lucky enough to attend the Stampin' Up! Onstage Online earlier in the month which Rosemarrie Gonzalez, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator did a demonstration on a very quick and easy Shaker Card.

I cut a piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper and slipped it into the Stampin' Up! Clear Translucent Medium Envelope and then added some Snowflake Sequins and Sprinkles Embellishments.  I then folded over the clear envelope with some sticky tape and then adhere it was Tear and Take to a piece of Whisper White cardstock to make it sturdy.  I then mounted it onto my Seaside Spray cardstock base and I finished mine off I used the Dove of Hope stamp set with a lovely dove and sentiment stamped in Seaside Spray.
