I am in the process of making some special Cupcake cards for a friend, Madonna who is raising funds for a friend of hers that is having a cupcake theme fundraising event so I thought I would combine this with this week's theme at CASE-ing the Catty with a favourite Annual Catalogue Bundle - Sweet Cupcake with the matching Cupcake Cutout Framelits Dies.
You may be starting here, so welcome or you may have come from Rachel Palmieri and her creation this week.
I have CASEd the card to the left this week which features three colourful cupcakes. My middle pink cupcake has some three dimension icing using some white acrylic paint, cornflour, tombow glue and to colour it pink I used the Mellon Mambo reinker. I mixed them together on a disposable plastic plate to make a paste and then stamped it over a couple laters of Blushing Bride and Mellon Mambo ink and then covered it in Clear Wink of Stella.
For the other cupcakes icing, I used Daffodil Delight stamped off for the background, then Daffodil Delight and finally Crushed Curry and with the Pool Party stamped off, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the last colour. Now for the cupcake I used Sahara Sand stamped off for the background, then Sahara Sand and the highlights with Tip Top Taupe.
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack, Whisper White
Ink: Blushing Bride, Mellon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Sahara Sand, Tip Top Taupe, Sweet Sugarplum
Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Cupcake Cutout Framelits Dies, Banner Triple Punch, Project Life Corner Punch, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
The first card has a "Make a Wish" Banner like the Stampin' Up! example.
The second card just features the three cupcakes, which one is your favourite?
Close up of the special pink icing.
If you are inspired again this week by the Blog Hop why not participate in our monthly challenge by CASE-ing a Bundle in the Annual Catalogue, go to the linky tool at CTC and the winner will be announced on the first Sunday in November.
The second card without a banner, but love the pink frosting!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Rachel!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great Kathryn, but I think the second is my choice - love seeing the whole cupcakes!
ReplyDeleteYUM - they look good enough to eat!! My favourite is the one without the banner too because you can see more of those delicious looking cupcakes!!
ReplyDeleteOh I like them both, but I think I like the banner one better. Those cupcakes look yummy!
ReplyDeleteYum!! They look good enough to eat, especially with the yummy 3D frosting!!!
