Tart and Tangy - Retired Stamp Set

Another one of my stamp sets is retiring at the end of the month, Tart and Tangy which make great cards for all occasions. Here, I made a card with a matching lolly pop and this stamp set is currently 25% off at only $16.46. I did team this with the flower stem from Sweetheart stamp set.

Hello Baby Girl

I had some wonderful news that a good friend and his partner welcomed a little girl into world last night. I was really excited to make this card as it did take me quite a while this afternoon to complete as I don't really have any stamp sets for little ones so I did a bit of blog surfing and was reminded about these lovely prams.

I am really happy with how it turned out even the little teddy popping out of the pram is cute...you will have to take a really hard look but I did use a new stamp set, Button Buddies which is from the 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalogue.

All A Flutter - Retiring Stamp

Another day, another creation using a retiring stamp, this time the beautiful little butterfly, All A Flutter for only $12.95. I did get inspiration for this cute little card from someone but I saved it such a long time ago I can not remember who did design it.

To create the background, I stamped the En Francais background stamp in Basic Black on a square of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped it off once and only pressed down on the edges to get a white space in the middle. I then used lots of sponging with three shades of Pink, firstly Pretty in Pink then Regal Rose and finally Rich Razzleberry on the edges.

The butterfly was stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black ink and then coloured in with Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers all blended from the palest pink in the middle to the darkest on the edges.

Eastern Blooms - Retiring Stamp Set

Today, I would like to share with you the first of four cards that we made at Saturday's Stampin' Up! Class which featured retiring stamp sets. I used the lovely Eastern Blooms set which is currently 25% off at only $29.96. I think it has not seen ink for well over twelve months but I love this very bright and cheerful card.

I am back...Kimberley Adventure Tour

Sorry I have not posted any creations in a long time but I only arrived back just over a week ago from a fantastic 3 week holiday to Broome and the Kimberley's in Western Australia.

Wow, wow, wow the landscape and scenery was beautiful as were the friends I have made on the tour. Congratulations to APT on the professional tour and guide and the famous wilderness lodges, very much "glamping" not camping.

I have now lived out one of my dreams seeing the Bungle Bungle Ranges from both the ground and air (it did take me four years after my Red Centre, Darwin and Kakadu trip).

Yes that is me in Cathedral Gorge, I am just so small compared to this rock formation.
