CASEing the Catty - #CTC523 Case Beautiful Gallery Suite

It's the King's birthday long weekend here in South Australia and wow it's been wet one which is fantastic as our farmers have been in drought conditions so it's been great to be creating today.

This week at CASEing the Catty challenge we are caseing the Beautiful Gallery Suite which is featured in the Annual Catalogue on pages 52 to 57.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Lauren Meiklejohn.

In the last few months I have going through some old photos and this one is of my sister when she was about 3 years old when she was in my aunt and uncle's wedding and I thought this suite was prefect for this black and white image.

I got my inspiration from the card on the bottom right hand side on page 53 and I have used same colours of Basic White, Basic Black and Mossy Meadow and little pop of Pecan Pie with the photograph as the centre with the florals surrounding the focal point.

I have added some journaling which I created out of the Textured Notes Dies and added little pull tab using the top of one of the Beautiful Motifs Dies.

Stamp Set:  Gallery Blooms
Cardstock:  Basic Beige, Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Beautiful Galley Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Basic Beige, Black Memento, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Galley Blooms Dies, Beautiful Motifs Dies, Elegant Faceted Gems (retired)

Close up of the florals and leaves on the edge of the photo.

The journaling tab which has a story from my aunty.

Thanks for stopping by this week, now it's time to see what Andrea Sargent has made.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC522 Case a Quick & Easy Option

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the Quick & Easy Option cards on pages 26 and 27 of the Annual Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Judy May.

I have chosen to case the Christmas wreath card in the centre of page 26.

It's the 1 June and I have just made my first Christmas card for 2026, I usually only start in July ready for my Christmas in July card classes.

My card is a Basic White 5" square card base and then I stamped on another piece of Basic White in Mossy Meadow the wreath from the Most Wonderful stamp set which is a background stamp set but it also "pull apart" to make 4 individual stamps.

I used the two tones of Lemon Lime Twist blends for the leaves and then fussy cut the outside and inside of the wreath.

Finally finishing it off with the Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries and the sentiment from the Greeting for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and a couple of Basic Black leaves from the Gallery Blooms Dies.

I don't always stamp in the inside of my cards but the matching sentiment went so well and the I then stamped one of the edge stamps twice to create my little border at the bottom in again the Mossy Meadow and Lemon Lime Twist.

Stamp Set:  Most Wonderful
Cardstock:  Basic White, Basic Black
Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Lemon Lime Twist, Black Memento
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Gallery Blooms Dies, Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries, Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack
