CASEing the Catty - #460 Case a Project and Step it Up Enduring Beauty Bundle

This week at CASEing the Catty we are caseing a project from either the Annual or Mini Catalogues and Stepping it up.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

I have chosen to case the Stepped Upped cards on page 39 of the Mini Catalogue using the Enduring Beauty Bundle which include a mix of masks, stamp set and dies which is a first for Stampin' Up!

This bundle has been in at my home for a couple of months but this is the first time I have had some time to pull it out and give it some love and ink.

I am featuring some of the upcoming retiring in colors - Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Parakeet Party for the featured floral centrepiece.

I have stamped Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock and then I used my blending brushes in Orchid Oasis and Parakeet Party to easily coloured in the image.

The masks have a number in the top left hand corner so this makes it so easy to layer the colours to create a wonderful image and I have only used 2 ink pads but with the layers it gives the different shades of colour.  The centrepiece was then die cut out.

With the layered Basic White cardstock, I very lightly added the stamens in Orchid Oasis to create a background, then added this to the Starry Sky cardstock, add the centrepiece with dimensionals and add a few tiny little buds in Black Memento and use the two step stamp and stamp off the ink to give a lighter colour.

Finally, I added some die cut buds and leaves in Parakeet Party, a sentiment from Thoughtful Expressions in Starry Sky, a double baker's twine bow and some Faceted Gems.
