CASEing the Catty - #CTC539 Case Peaceful Garden Suite

Wow, it's my favourite Suite of the Mini Catalogue, the Peaceful Garden on pages 32 to 35 of the Mini Catalogue which we are featuring this week at CASEing the Catty.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder.

I have chosen the decor frame on page 35 but there are so many lovely cards on these pages that you could copy.

I have started with a Cloud Cover card base and layered with a tone on tone Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossed.

Adding some more texture to the edge with ruffing up with a pair of scissors and then a little blending with again Cloud Cover to give further depth around the edge.

It was time for some glimmer in the middle with the largest tag and again some blending on the Basic White tag and finally I added the beautiful die cut doves and the leaf and envelope.

Stamp Set: Peace on Earth
Cardstock:  Cloud Cover, Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Blue Glimmer Paper
Ink:  Misty Moonlight
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Peace on Earth Dies, Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder, Blending Brushes

CASEing the Catty - #CTC537 Case Traditions of Christmas

How are you going with preparing your Christmas cards this year?  I am making good progress to the 100+ cards I send.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the beautiful Traditions of Christmas suite on pages 21 to 27 of the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder and wow I love her card featuring the beautiful bauble.

My card to Case this week is from the left hand side of page 24.  I have stepped it up by adding an extra layer of Old Olive cardstock mounting on the Basic White embossing with the Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder.

I have also added a die cut the bunch of flowers to make the centrepiece from the Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper instead of colouring in the image using the Stampin' Blends and the gold outline really makes it pop off the white background.  I have also added some gold sequins to finish off the card.

Stamp Set:  Traditional Labels
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, Old Olive, Gold, Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder, Christmas Greenery Dies, Gold Sequins, Gold Embossing Powder

CASEing the Catty - #CTC536 Case the Mini Catalogue

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the new Mini Catalogue, it has so many Christmas themed products which I just love which I could have CASEd this week.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

I have started an scrapbooking album which will feature Christmas with my family.  I have a lot of catching up as I have had 53 Christmas' and I am not sure there will be photos each year prior to my nephews birth some 29 years ago.

In recent times I have taken a family photo on Christmas Day, especially now that you can set your phone to a timer so we can all be included.

Unfortunately due to the sad passing of my mum, dad and sister it's always a small gathering but it means so much to me and I cherish these memories that I am now recording.

I only had two photographs from last year so I decided to make a single page using the Keeping Traditions Scrapbooking Workshop Kit and I think this page works either as a double page or as a single which I have made up.

If you are like me and don't have a lot of experience in scrapbooking these kits make it so easy with lots of instructions and die cuts ready to apply to the pages.  You only need some adhesive of your choice, dimensionals and your trimmer and you are set to create these 3 double pages.

Thanks for stopping by this week, now it's time to see what Rachel Palmieri has created for Father's Day.
