CASEing the Catty - #CTC387 Case a Punch Project Scottie Dog Punch

This week at CASEing the Catty we are case a punch project from either the Annual Catalogue or the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Rebecca Scurr.

I have chosen to case the oh soooo very cute Scottie Dog punch which is featured on page 73 of the Mini Catalogue as the Christmas Scottie Bundle.

For my card I have used the Texture Chic Memories and More Cards and Envelopes, which you are probably don't think they would be used as a Christmas card.

I just could not find a piece of designer series paper that matched the stamped Old Olive "bow" wreath and whilst I was going through my packets of DSP I noticed the Memories and More cards and thought wow that might just work.

I have used the check stamp to cut out 12 bows and then created a circle with them and added my cute little black scottie (which we named at card class yesterday as Samuel Scottie) in the centre with a Cherry Cobber bow.  To finish off the card I added some Gold Festive Pearls in groups of three and a Cherry Cobbler sentiment.

Stamp Set:  Christmas Scottie
Ink:  Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Black Memento
Cardstock:  Textured Chic Memories and More Cards and Envelopes, Basic White
Accessories:  Scottie Dog Punch, Gold Festive Pearls

CASEing the Catty - #CTC385 Case a Glitter Project Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper

It's all about glitter this week at CASEing the Catty #CTC385, Case a Glitter Project from the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Michelle Strazds.

I have chosen to case the box on page 30 of the July to December Mini Catalogue.

I have simplified the decorated box to a small greeting or gift card.

I used some off cuts of Thick Basic White cardstock measuring 8 1/4" x 3 1/2", I folded this in half and added a strip of the Soft Succulent Lights Aglow Speciality Designer Series Paper.  Before adhering this down I added some Gold Cord on top and either the circle or square cut outs from the sheet of Cherry Cobbler DSP.

I finally added a sentiment from the Hope & Peace stamp set and a beautiful Gold and Vanilla Ribbon bow and wow it did not take long to repeat the process to create a set of four.

Stamp Set:  Hope & Peace
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Soft Succulent
Accessories:  Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Satin-Edged Ribbon, Gold Cord, 2 1/4" Circle Punch (retired)

CASEing the Catty - #CTC384 Case Sale-A-Bration Hippest Hippos & Hippo Dies

I had my card class this afternoon and I made this card for the CASEing the Catty Sale-A-Bration and for the class.

You only have until Wednesday at 11.30 pm Adelaide time to place a $180 order to receive both the Hippest Hippos stamp set and matching Hippo Dies.

Welcome to the hop or you may have come from my lovely friend, Tina Gillespie.

Wow what a beautiful day it is in the Adelaide Hills today.

The next door neighbours wattle is out and my tulips are blooming for the very first time and the daffodils are smiling at me when I walk outside.

I am remembering my dad and the family home at Oakbank where they came from, my favourite time of the year is Spring.

Which season is your favourite?

I have chosen the layout and the stamp set for my theme this week which is featured on page 5 of the SaleA-Bration brochure which is pictured below.

I layered the Brushing Bride Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper onto Basic Black which I cut out both layers using the Deckled Rectangles Dies and then onto Crumb Cake cardstock for my base.

It was then time to use the Crumb Cake blends to colour in the oh so cute hippo which I had stamped in Black Memento.

I cut out the decorate circle die from the Painted Labels in Blushing Bride and added a Balmy Blue umbrella and some flowers to create my centrepiece.  I used the waves dies from the Hippo Dies to create a boarder around the twine.  Finally finishing off the flowers with some Pearl embellishments.

Stamp Set:  Hippest Hippos
Cardstock:  Brushing Bride, Balmy Blue, Basic White, Basic Black, Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento, Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue Bends
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Hippo Dies, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Painted Labels Dies, Tahitan Tide Baker's Twine, Pearl Jewels (retired)

CASEing the Catty - #CTC381 Boughs of Holly Suite

It's Sunday, so it's CASEing the Catty time, this week we are CASEing the Bough of Holly Suite in the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Peta Stephens.

This is my very favourite bundle from the Mini Catalogue so I could not miss caseing this Suite.

I have chosen the card on page 24 which is featured below.  I have made a fancy fold card which on the first and third panels I have made some tone on tone stripes using the thickest Water Painter.

I placed a clear block onto my old olive ink pad to create an ink pad where I could add lots of water with a container of water and then added the thick stripes of colour to the panels to create an effective background.

It was then time to create the centrepiece of the card which includes fussy cutting the poinsettias which I then positioned in diagonal corners and then added a lot of layers of embellishments and leaves -  especially the gorgeous Gold Holly Leaves,  Gold Open Leaf Trinket and the Iridescent Trim.

Finally, I created a featured Sahara Sand holly leaves insert which you can also see on the edges when the card is closed.

I am in the process of creating a tutorial for this fancy fold card, so if you would like a copy please join my newsletter mailing list or email me and I'll send you a copy once it's completed.

Stamp Set:  Leaves of Holly
Cardstock:  Old Olive, Basic White, Crumb Cake, Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Evening Evergreen, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Cut n Emboss Machine, Holly Berry Dies, Gold Holly Leaves, Open Leaf Trinket, Iridescent Trim

Bron's Birthday Blog Hop #5 - Fancy Folds Merriest Moments

It's Bron's Birthday Blog Hop (and Insta Hop) #5 but it's my first!  We're a group of stamping friends that are celebrating Bron's 60th Birthday in 2022 with six blog hops, over six months, with six fun themes!

I could not miss out on the Fancy Folds, Bronwyn is a star at making fancy fold cards and she kindly provided me a tutorial for a Gate Fold Double Box Card.

As I created this last week, I had my supplies out from my Christmas in July card class so I just had to make an oh so special Christmas card (it will be going to be a lovely lady as it took me quite some time to complete).

I have chosen traditional colours of shades of green with Cherry Cobbler.  It's had to see but I started with Old Olive cardstock and layered it with a couple of different pieces of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.  The layers and folds include two double boxes where I added some returning favourite Wonderful Snowflakes in iridescent foil.

Lots of stamping of the poinsettias in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive holly leaves from the Merriest Moments stamp set, and lots of fussy cutting which I don't mind at all either.  It was then putting these together with more Wonderful Snowflakes and gems.   Finally, I then added a couple of Christmas trees from Trees for Sale to give added depth to the trees on the DSP.

Stamp Set:  Merriest Moments, Trees for Sale
Cardstock:  Old Olive, Basic White, Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Tree Lot Dies, Wonderful Snowflakes, Adhesive Backed Sequins & Gems, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Gems

It does close up and fits in a standard envelope.

AWHT Heart of Christmas Week 3 Santa Express Suite

It's week 3 of the Art with Heart Team Christmas blog hop #heartofchristmas #heartofchristmas2022 and I had some free time on Sunday afternoon to fussy cut some Santa Express Designer Series Paper, I just love these Santas in the trains.

Welcome or you may have come from Rachel Woollard.

I finally opened the products I received as part of the Art with Heart Team shares, it just another bonus you receive being in this amazing group of demonstrators.  I know I can not get it "all" in the Holiday catalogue so being a part of the team and having the opportunity to get a selection of the Santa Express Memories and More Card Pack, Cards and Envelopes and Designer Series Paper is amazing!

My cards are very simple this week - no stamps, ink or cardstock!  Just the Santa Express Suite.

Yes, no stamps, ink or cardstock were used as I have started with the card bases from the Memories and More and then layered with either Memories and More Cards or Designer Series Paper and then I have fussy cut the Santas, Christmas trees and gifts, finally then added embellishment from the suite with a little bling to finish them off.

Cardstock:  Santas Express Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Santa Express Memories and More Card Pack, Santas Express Memories and More Cards and Envelopes, Adhesive-Backed Sequins & Gems
