CASEing the Catty - #CTC385 Case a Glitter Project Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper

It's all about glitter this week at CASEing the Catty #CTC385, Case a Glitter Project from the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Michelle Strazds.

I have chosen to case the box on page 30 of the July to December Mini Catalogue.

I have simplified the decorated box to a small greeting or gift card.

I used some off cuts of Thick Basic White cardstock measuring 8 1/4" x 3 1/2", I folded this in half and added a strip of the Soft Succulent Lights Aglow Speciality Designer Series Paper.  Before adhering this down I added some Gold Cord on top and either the circle or square cut outs from the sheet of Cherry Cobbler DSP.

I finally added a sentiment from the Hope & Peace stamp set and a beautiful Gold and Vanilla Ribbon bow and wow it did not take long to repeat the process to create a set of four.

Stamp Set:  Hope & Peace
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Soft Succulent
Accessories:  Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Satin-Edged Ribbon, Gold Cord, 2 1/4" Circle Punch (retired)

CASEing the Catty - #CTC362 Case a Sketch Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper

This week at CASEing the Catty we are using a sketch challenge inspired by the Annual Catalogue simplify or step it up collection on page 71.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Rebecca Scurr.

I am currently on holidays in Victoria but I made this card prior to leaving last weekend.

I have chosen to feature a retiring in color, Bumblebee and I have coordinated this with the beautiful Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper.

I used Bumblebee cardstock as my base and layered a piece of matching DSP.  I then cut 4 @ 1 1/4" squares using 4 different designers, choosing 3 flowers and a lighter square that I could over stamp a sentiment in Black Memento.  I then add a lovely Fresh Freesia ribbon bow and some Polished Pink jewels.

This design would be great to use up all those packs of designer series papers that we all have in our collection.  I would love to see you create some and share with me.

Stamp Set:  Flowing Flowers
Cardstock:  Bumblebee, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento

Art with Heart Team #ColourCreations39 - Real Red

It's been 12 month since I have participated in the Art with Heart Team #ColourCreationsBlogHop, wow oh wow this year is flying by.  This week we are featuring the colour Real Red.

Welcome to the hop or you may have come from my good friend in Melbourne, Rachel Palmieri.

I received a request this last week to create a card for the organist at my church who was being recognised for playing for 25 years.  This gave me the opportunity to make a piano card which I have looked at for many years.

The most complicated part to the card was drawing the freehand outline of the curve of the piano but it was so very easy, I then cut this out.  With a strip of Basic White, I draw some lines down to create some keys and then I added some thin strips of Basic Basic on dimensionals to create the upper keys on the piano.  Finally I added the sentiment and ribbon and it was finished.

Stamp Set:  Flowing Flowers
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Basic White
Ink:  Real Red
Accessories:  Real Red 3/8" Double Stitched Satin Ribbon

Social Stamping - #Oh2020! Snail Mail

It's the end of 2020, and wow it's been a year to forget and looking forward to the New Year.  This month at Social Stamping we are featuring #Oh2020!

You may have started the hop here so welcome, or you may have come from Lisa Whitehead.

I have been sending cards after COVID19 hit Australia with a bang from March 2020 to share with those that have been in lockdown for many days, weeks and even months.

Today's card features my favourite card design for 2020 and I have been making them since November - the shaker card.  Due to all the online purchases and Australia Post delivering cards every second day, it is really Snail Mail, which has been slower than normal this year with Australia Post taking oh so long to get a card to my friends around South Australia, Australia and around the World.

I have a tutorial with step by step instructions and photographs for this quick and easy shaker card using the Clear Translucent Medium Envelopes just email me and I'll send you a copy (or join my mailing list and you will receive lots of inspiration and tutorials).

Cardstock:  Brushing Bride, Snail Mail Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Rectangle Stitched Dies, Clear Translucent Medium Envelopes, Snowflake Sequins, From my Heart Faceted Gems (retired, but they were on the Clearance Rack recently)

It was a quick card to CASE with a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock ran through the Embossing Folder and then I used a sponge dauber in Pear Pizzazz to add a little green to the trees.

I then added a thin 1 1/2" strip of Gold Foil which I again ran through the Embossing Folder and then cut out a circle and gold embossed the sentiment and finally added the Gilded Gems, oh I love these.
