Art with Heart Team #ColourCreations39 - Real Red

It's been 12 month since I have participated in the Art with Heart Team #ColourCreationsBlogHop, wow oh wow this year is flying by.  This week we are featuring the colour Real Red.

Welcome to the hop or you may have come from my good friend in Melbourne, Rachel Palmieri.

I received a request this last week to create a card for the organist at my church who was being recognised for playing for 25 years.  This gave me the opportunity to make a piano card which I have looked at for many years.

The most complicated part to the card was drawing the freehand outline of the curve of the piano but it was so very easy, I then cut this out.  With a strip of Basic White, I draw some lines down to create some keys and then I added some thin strips of Basic Basic on dimensionals to create the upper keys on the piano.  Finally I added the sentiment and ribbon and it was finished.

Stamp Set:  Flowing Flowers
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Basic White
Ink:  Real Red
Accessories:  Real Red 3/8" Double Stitched Satin Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by it's now time to see what Caroline Manwaring has created.

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week's host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC356 Colours of the Heart & Home DSP, Catching the Butterflies

Wow another week has gone by and it's been a creative week with preparing for my card class yesterday which was my first for the year.  I decided to do a card that I could also feature in this week's CASEing the Catty Challenge by using the Colours of the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper - Pale Papaya, Garden Green, Misty Moonlight, Fresh Freesia, Cinnamon Cider and Basic Gray.

Welcome if you are starting here or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

I have chosen the card on page 58 to CASE using very similar colours and design with my card base being Pale Papaya and I used the cute little girl from the Sale-A-Bration Catching Butterflies stamp set.

When recreating the card, it was only then that I notice that the Heart & Home Doily had more textured that the cut out featured and I swapped out the Hive 3D Embossing Folder for one that I had in my collection from the Annual Catalogue, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

Stamp Set:  Catching Butterflies, Blessings of Home
Cardstock:  Pale Papaya, Basic White, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Black Memento, Misty Moonlight (Pale Papaya, Cinnamon Cider, Fresh Freesia, SU700, SU800 Stampin' Blends)
Accessories:  Cut n Embossing Machine, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, Heart & Home Doilies, Denim 3/8" Ribbon, Night of Navy Fan Baker's Twine

Now it's time to hop over to Michelle Strazds to see what she has to share this week.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC308 Colours of the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper

This week at CASEing the Catty we are getting inspiration from the colours of Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper - Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Sahara Sand, Seaside Spray, So Saffron.

You may have started here, welcome to the hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder.

I have decided to CASE the card featured on page 40 of the Mini Catalogue which I also demonstrated at my February card class, unfortunately at the class it received a splash of extra unwanted colour, so today I add an extra shell to the card and no-one will know (only those that are reading my blog).

The Seashells 3D Embossing Folder makes the shells pop after I have stamped the images and cut them out and then place them in the embossing folder. I have used the Stampin' Markers to colour the stamps so I can blend two or three colours.

Stamp Set: Friends are Like Seashells
Cardstock: Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand, Basic White
Ink: Seaside Spray, Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Seaside Spray Stampin' Markers
Accessories: Stampin' Cut & Emboss, Seaside Seashells Dies, Seashell 3D Embossing Folder, Blushing Bride Twine
