CASEing the Catty - #CTC298 Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder

It's less than 2 weeks until Christmas Day and I am still busy making and writing in Christmas Cards, I was doing so well and made about 80 before December but I need about 120, so I love that I have added another 2 cards whilst CASEing an Embossing Folder Project.

You may have started the hop here, welcome or you may have come from Rebecca Scurr.

I have decided to CASE the card on page 35 using the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder, I received this folder from my lovely team member, Lauren Fry and it was time to get it out of the cellophane bag.

It was a quick card to CASE with a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock ran through the Embossing Folder and then I used a sponge dauber in Pear Pizzazz to add a little green to the trees.

I then added a thin 1 1/2" strip of Gold Foil which I again ran through the Embossing Folder and then cut out a circle and gold embossed the sentiment and finally added the Gilded Gems, oh I love these.

Social Stamping - #Merry&Bright Christmas Shaker Card

I am finally participating in Kelly Kent's Social Stamping, this month the theme is Merry & Bright and I am sharing with you a very exciting and easy Christmas Shaker card.

I cut a piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper and slipped it into the Stampin' Up! Clear Translucent Medium Envelope and then added some Snowflake Sequins and Sprinkles Embellishments.  I then folded over the clear envelope with some sticky tape and then adhere it was Tear and Take to a piece of Whisper White cardstock to make it sturdy.  I then mounted it onto my Seaside Spray cardstock base and I finished mine off I used the Dove of Hope stamp set with a lovely dove and sentiment stamped in Seaside Spray.

CASEing the Catty - #CTC295 Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper

It's Sunday here in Adelaide and we are out of complete COVID lockdown which luckily only lasted 3 days, we still have restrictions but slowly we can go about our daily lives again.

CASEing the Catty this week are getting inspiration from the inside cover of the Annual Catalogue.

You may have started the hop here, welcome or you may have come from Lauren Meiklejohn.

As you can see to the left I have CASEd the "missing you" card and used the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper to create a simple Christmas card as I am slowly adding to my collection.

I think I must be getting close to 80 Christmas cards now, only about another 20 hopefully by the end of the month as I hope to start sending them in early December as the postal service is really slow with COVID and all the online shopping.

I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock to stamp my sentiment as I wanted it to stand out more and layered it with some Silver foil and then fussy cut out a small poinsettia from a different piece of the Designer Series Paper to finish it off

Stamp Set:  Cherish the Season
Cardstock:  Bumblebee, Whisper White, Silver Foil, Poinsette Place Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Real Red

Heart of Christmas - Snowflake Wishes

This is the first time I have got organised this year to participate in the Heart of Christmas and you guessed it - it's the last one!  I have been Christmas inspired this weekend as the Christmas pageant happened in Adelaide on Saturday evening and I put up my Christmas tree on Sunday afternoon with the help of fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator Andrea Sargent.

I am featuring the Snowflake Wishes Bundle in Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.  I have used the embossed resist technique, with white emboss powder with a light sponge daubing in Coastal Cabana and used the splatter stamp from Forever Form over the top.

I have layered the sentiment on a couple of different shape labels and place then in the centre over some thick bakers twine, finally finishing with die cut ofthe three matching Snowflakes and a scattering of gems.

Stamp Set:  Snowflake Wishes, Positive Thoughts, Forever Fern
Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink:  Bermuda Bay
Accessories:  So Many Snowflakes Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies, Elegant Faceted Gems, White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Mint Macaron Thick Twine (retired)

CASEing the Catty - #CTC293 Snowflake Wishes and Dragonfly Garden

This week at CASEing the Catty, we are caseing a card from page 36 in the Mini Catologue.

You may have started the hop here, welcome or you may have come from Shannon Kissane.

From Thursday evening through to Saturday mid afternoon, I participated in Stampin' Up! #OnStageAtHome which was an online event instead of catching up with fellow demonstrators around the South Pacific due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions for the attendees as well as the Home Office staff in Sydney and Utah, USA.

Whilst having an extended lunch break on Friday, I decided to create my card, I chose the card to the left. I used the shades of Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana for my card instead of the blues in the example.

The Coastal Cabana tag strip was embossed in clear embossing powder which created a raised tone on tone.  I then used the Coastal Cabana ribbon to make the sentiment pop as I did not have any matching twine.  I then layered the snowflake and then added a beautiful Blue gem, they are so cute, I just had to add a couple more.

As I had the Dragonfly Garden Suite out from the morning Share and Experience where we created 3 cards, I decided to use this as a sketch to create a totally different card.

This suite has the Dragonfly Garden stamp set, Dragonflies punch, Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper and those very cute brass Ladybug Trinkets.  This suite will be available in the upcoming Mini Catalogue in January but if you are a demonstrator we get to preorder lots of products prior to the official launch.

I chose Bumblebee as my background and then used a couple pieces of Designer Series Paper to layer up the matching colours, I then stamped the largest dragonfly Bumblebee and punch it out with the punch and placed it in the corner as a feature and then stamped the sentiment and placed the Ladybug in the opposite corner with some Gold trim placed at the back.

Stamp Set:  Snowflake Wishes, Dragonfly Garden
Cardstock, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Bumblebee, Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Coastal Cabana, Misty Moonlight, Versamark
Accessories:  So Many Snowflakes Dies, Coast Cabana Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder, Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems,  Ribbon, Dragonflies Punch, Ladybug Trinkets, Gold Trim

CASEing the Catty - #CTC288 Tag Buffet Project Kit

This week we are featuring Card Kit/Project from either the Annual Catalogue or the Mini Catalogue at CASEing the Catty.

You may have started the hop here, so welcome or you may have come from Shannon Kissane

I decided to create on World Cardmaking Day, which was yesterday, first I pulled out the Tag Buffet Project Kit, which has supplies to make 30 tags (5 each of 6 designs).  I did not purchase the matching stamp set as I thought I had enough sentiments from a collection of Christmas stamp sets and it was lovely to ink them all up in Real Red, Garden Green and Shaded Spruce.

I made 6 Christmas tags first as per the instructions, and then cut A4 whisper white cardstock in half and folded the cardstock in half and then added 2" x 4" pieces of 'Tis the Season Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the cardstock with a strip of Gold Card on top.  Wow, another 6 Christmas Cards made in record time and I even stamped a matching sentiment in the inside of the cards.

Now the tags have been made into Christmas cards,
using the 'Tis the Season Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for stopping by, now it's time to see what Sandra Collett has created this week.
