CASEing the Catty - #CTC550 Case the Mini Catalogue

You only have a couple more weeks of purchasing from the Mini Catalogue and some products are already on the Last Chance List and this week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the whole September to December Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the last blog hop of the year or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

I have chosen to case Stampin' Up!'s Making a Difference stamp set Love & Courage which $4.25 from each purchase is being donated to a breast cancer organisation.

This set really touches my heart as I have lost both my mother and sister to breast cancer and I support these charities with a lot of passion.
I have chosen to create my background for this card by inking up the reverse side to the Sunflowers 3D Textured Embossing Folder in Pretty in Pink.  I tapped the ink pad all over the embossing folder and then put a piece of Basic White cardstock on top and then put it through the Cut 'n Emboss Machine.

Place the background onto a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock, cut out a circle in Pretty in Pink and a half circle in Strawberry Slush.  Then stamp in Strawberry Slush onto Pretty in Pink cardstock the half flower twice and fussy cut, one around the edge and the second choose some of the small petals, then with your bone folder curl up the petals a little to give further depth.

Finally, glue the Strawberry Slush half circle to the Pretty in Pink circle and the two layers of the flower and the stamp the sentiment, fixing a little piece of Pretty in Pink ribbon to the back before adding the centrepiece to your cardstock with dimensionals.  Lastly I added some pink sequins that I had from my stash.

Stamp Set:  Love & Courage, Simply Said
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink
Ink:  Strawberry Slush
Accessories: Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Circle Die, Sunflower 3D Textured Embossing Folder, Pretty in Pink Ribbon (retired), Pink Sequins (retired)

CASEing the Catty - #CTC549 Case a Kit Card

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the Kits collections.  Stampin' Up! releases 2 new kits every month and they are really lovely.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come Peta Stephen.

I am in the process of getting my Christmas cards written and I did needed a few more to add to my stash so I have chosen the Nutcracker Tags Kit this week, unfortunately this kit is unavailable in Australia but you can be notified when it is back in stock in your international market.

To make very quick cards I put together the tags as per the step by step instructions which are included in your box.

I have then mounted them onto the Gold Pipped Card & Envelope packs in Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Night of Navy with the lovely Gold trim which I found in my clean up in my craft room.  Finally, adding a double bow in the Black Twine which was also included in the kit at the top of the card where you would normally tie to your gift.

Accessories:  Nutcracker Tags Kit, Gold Dipped Cards & Envelopes
